Hurts to deep breath and to eat and drink. Help!!

I posted this under the gallbladder thread, but I figure more people could help if I posted it separately.

This morning when I woke up, I had this pain right under my ribs/sternum in the center where my stomach and band is I am sure. I hurts just sitting here, and it hurts to deep breath, to drink, to eat, to swallow. I did also get a small cramp just left of my belly button, but it subsided about 10-20 minutes after it began. What in the world is going on? I wasn't this way when I went to bed, and I don't think I ate anything new that I haven't tried before with the band. I am a little worried because of this pain. Could it be just irritated from getting an small unfill Tuesday or could it be my gallbladder. Of course, if I feel like this tomorrow, I will for sure call the doctor.

I just tried eating some grits, and it hurts when the food passes through the band. Tea is doing the same thing.

Hmmmm, Gallbladder if often, not always trigger within a hour after you eat. Because you woke up in the morning with this, I am not sure it is your gallbladder. If it wasn't for the fact you said you had a small unfill, I might think you were too tight. Best advice I can give you, is if it continues call your doctor, something is not right. Hope you are feeling better.

Well. I think it may have actually started after I drank about 8 oz. of my Protein shake. I did feel a pressure there when I woke up, but it didn't really start until I drank something. I am going to call in the morning. The doctor did say I may need more taken out, but I am able to eat better besides today.

Everything is going down fine. I'm not getting stuck or anything. I just have this sharp pain as it passed through.

The only thing I did eat that I can think I may not have had before was white chocolate macadamia nut Cookies.

I'd have them check for a slipped band too. My surgeon said if I started to have any unexplained pain (as in I knew it wasn't something I ate, etc.) to call since one sign of a slipped band is pain. Not trying to scare you but it doesn't sound right that you had an unfill and you're having difficulty. Good luck!

.

Maybe you're still a bit too tight?

He did say I may need more taken out, but I can eat so much easier. It is just a strange feeling that I don't ever remember experiencing.

Thank you for the good luck. I'm hoping I feel better in the morning, but it is awfully strange since I did get a .25 unfill on Tuesday.

If I do feel normal tomorrow, should I still call to get it checked out? I'm the type that if I feel better, I won't worry about it, but this may need checked out.
