Banded for a month and getting/having a sore throat?

I know my sore throat has nothing to do with the band, I've been feeling like I've been getting sick (sinus-wise) for a few days now. I'm just wondering if I can do what I used to do to feel better; take lots of Vitamin C, drink alot of fluids, and have lots of cough drops/hard candy on hand to ease the pain in my throat? I know the fluids part will be ok, just wondering about the rest...

Don't know why not, although I'd go with the sugar free cough drops / hard candy.
