Has anyone had a negative experience with taking a non chewable (centrum like) Vitamin?

My doc's office said no pills over the size of a dime. I bought some of the gummy vitamins (hate the taste of regular chewables) and being on this pre op diet, their sweetness is like a treat! LOL

My doc said either chewable or liquid vitamins. I started out using gummie but they didn't give me the energy I needed throughout the day. I went to Vitamin world and talked to the sales lady who just happened to be a personal trainer that has some banded clients and she recommended a vitamin called Origin Of Life Complete liquid Nutrition and believe me when I say I absolutely love this vitamin... It gives me sustainable energy, has my hair and nails growing like crazy and it taste pretty good!

Mine too...said to use flintstones chewable twice a day. I might try the Gummy ones tho. That sounds nice having a little sweet! But they say not for 2 wks after. I wonder if it would help or matter if I started now....I feel soooo weak and can't be up long at a time! I'm on day 6.

I am at my sweet spot, and I still take full sized vitamins....only one at a time, and spaced out! I really can't afford all that, I am self pay, so rite-aid Calcium, nad one-a-day are good enough for me!

I will say that the first time I got stuck and pb'ed, was by taking two Vitamins at one time....hahahahahah, now it is more about slowing down, and little bites, and chew, chew, chewing.....but anyway no probo with the regular vitamins!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
