Stomach pain above port

Yesterday and now today yet I've had alot of stabbing pain in my stomach above the port and kind of between the incision to the left hand side. It's kind of driving me nuts and it could totally not be band related. But the pain was bad enough last night it kept me awake and I couldn't lay on my left side.

Anybody else ever have pains in your stomach like this? I'm hoping its just nothing.

Thanks for the help!

Watch for signs of infection. I had something similar, went to the doc and got an antibiotic, and the stabbing sensation went away. I think I was in the early stages of an infection. I did not want it to get worse so I acted early.

I had an infection at the port site as well. I could not even bend over to put on socks and shoes, but after 10 days of antibiotics it's all gone, and I can exercise again.

I was going to say maybe a possible infection, I have a mild infection as well, I dont have that stabbing feeling, and it seems to be worser after a proten shake! this is day 4 of antibiotics, I'm hope'n it will clear up soon, and I hope that your feeling better, Best wishes and Happy New Year.
