Banded on Dec 15th and have questions

Hello all. I am new to this forum and so glad I found it. I was banded on 12/15 and my belly is so swollen and filled with gas. If anyone has tips on how to reduce the swelling or get rid of the gas, please share them. I'm so excited to have finally had my surgery!

My surgeon is Dr. Panemanglore from Ellis Bariatric Center in Schenectady, NY.

Thanks!

Best advice I had was to get up and walk around -- try to walk about 200 steps every hour if possible -- this will really help with the gas. Also lying on your side when you are lying down will help as well. It will eventually work its way out and you will feel much better. Take care.

Walk, walk, walk. Sorry thats all that helped me. I had my surgery 6/4/10. I have lost 40lbs so far & have 35 more to go. The gas will go away very soon.
