Usually coffee with 1 or 2 tablespoons of non fat dry milk (not creamer.. it's not that good for us, imo) or fat free evaporated milk and a tablespoon or two of sugar-free Torani or DaVinci. I'm fond of a combo of 1T chocolate & 1T Peanut Butter.. it tastes like I'm drinking a reeses. :smile2:

If not coffee, then it's some kind of tea. I like Bigelow's constant comment .. but there's tons of good tea out there.

My doctor didn't tell me to do it, but I usually start the day out with coffee with half and half and Splenda (my doc has no problem with coffee). The hot liquid seems to open me up, and when I don't have it I often feel tight for much of the day. I also often end the night with a cup of hot tea when I take my meds; it seems to ensure they go down with no problems. Hot tea is usually my go to if I'm ever feeling extra tight--that's often a sign that I'm dehydrated, so I start off with a cup or two of hot tea, then move on to constantly sipping other liquids (water, Crystal Light) until I'm back to normal.

I always start the day with a cup of tea with a splash of low fat milk. Nothing to do with Dr's orders - just a lifetime ritual.

My doctor didn't say anything, but I start most mornings out with either a cup of decaf coffee with half and half or a cup of decaf tea. Lately I've been doing the decaf tea with 1/4 tsp of cinnamon in it. My morning glucose levels tend to be high and the cinnamon helps knock them down to size.

I start my morning with decaf coffee and half and half.

I have been following my doctor's orders since the start and I decided to have coffee with hot chocolate mixed in almost every morning. I didn't drink coffee before this but I like it now. I have noticed that if I miss my warm drink in the morning I am not able to eat breakfast until later than usual.
