Need ideas.... Liquid portion of diet

Recommended Posts

Okay guys, so I am drinking myoplex lite in the morning, 20grams of Protein, it was fine in the beginning but now I am getting naseous just thinking about it.

Doing broth, and some other Protein Drinks I got out of a catalog. Is there any whey protein I can buy and drinks I can make that might make me even happier?

Does anyone have any ideas?

Help me before I drink chocolate milk as a protein source. LOL

My post op diet liquid diet is only one to two weeks. I don't technically have that much longer if on day 7 I want to try to add some mushy. I just need to get through three more days and I am having a very hard time. I got the family a rotissarie chicken and ended up taking a tiny sliver, I mean tiny, chewed it to nothing and swallowed it down with Water. Just for the taste of something other then chocolate, strawberry or berry. I never thought I would ever be sick of those flavors. LOL Once this is done I am sure I will not eat chocolate for a few months. Which is good because you are not supposed to. LOL

I bought a few things from Unjury and they carry the unflavored Protein which can be put into Soups, pudding Jello and so on. I tried some of it in some crystal light pink lemonade and it is not too bad. It still gives a taste of something else but at least I was able to get it down that way for the liquid phase.

I have found that the easiest and best way for me to get the most at one time is to mix the vanilla (Unjury) with Decaf coffee. I don't have to add milk or sugar and it gives it a sweet taste and is actually not bad at all. It tastes so much better to me than the Protein Shakes when you are sick or them or don't want to drink it that way. It is 20 grams of protein per scoop and I can get about 1 1/2 scoops of the protein in the coffee and it does taste really good. You just have to make sure that the coffee is not too hot or it will clump. The site also carries little packets which are great because you get your favorite coffee once you can have caffeine and just add it while you are at work or out.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
