Suggestions for an out of towner surgery?

Hi!

I am going to be having my surgery done in Phx which is 2 hrs from me. I was wondering if there is anything you would have planned for or wish you knew to plan for?

Right now I am thinking, plan to stay the weekend in Phoenix if possible incase there are any early complications..

Pack for a hospital stay just incase I need it

Anything else?

I'll be having my surgery in Tempe, AZ. I live in Gallup, NM so that's about 5 hours away. I'm lucky. Mine will be outpatient, BUT I will have to stay in a hotel. I'm going to bring my pillows, pajamas, slippers, comfy clothes, etc. I would say bring things that will make you feel comfortable. I have my list ready once I find out my surgery date.:thumbup:
