  1. I'm relieved to know that I'm not the only one that feels this way. I did email my nutritionist that works with my doctor. He said that since I am now on day 5 I can eat pudding and some creamy Soups. I can also mix some sugar free pudding mix into my Protein shakes. My pureed food diet doesn't start until Friday. I think another problem is that I'm not slowing down enough. Does anyone have some suggestion...like how did you slow down?
  2. Hello everyone!!! I was just banded on December 10th and I'm on the liquid diet. Problem is, I'm always hungry. I do drink my Protein shakes and Water, but I am always hungry!!!! Has anyone else had this problem? I can go on pureed foods on Saturday and I so want to have just some mushy baby food vegetables now, just to get into my stomach, Does anyone have any advice?
  3. Hello all...I'm looking for a mentor. I was just banded on Dec. 10th and this liquid diet is very hard. I just want to know if anyone felt the way I do.
  4. Well, my surgery is now scheduled for Dec. 10th. I see this as a GREAT Christmas present. I've been on the pre-op diet for a few days and this is hard!!!!
  5. Well, I sent the rest of my Medical Records to the surgeon's office last Friday and everything was submitted to my insurance company. Now, I have to wait. AAAAAARRRRRRGGGGGHHHH!! I am NOT good in the waiting department. The insurance specialist at the office said it could take a week to 14 days...WHAT?! I guess I better start learning about patience, especially since I'll need it once I start losing weight!!!!!:tt2::thumbup::thumbup:
  6. I'll be having my surgery in Tempe, AZ. I live in Gallup, NM so that's about 5 hours away. I'm lucky. Mine will be outpatient, BUT I will have to stay in a hotel. I'm going to bring my pillows, pajamas, slippers, comfy clothes, etc. I would say bring things that will make you feel comfortable. I have my list ready once I find out my surgery date.:thumbup:
  7. I had cardio work-up (an EKG, stress test, and ultra sound), a pulmonary fitness test. Then at the surgeon's I had another PFT, a chest ultrasound, a psych evaluation, and then an EGD (where they stick a camera into your stomach - don't worry, you're knocked out)
  8. I'm getting ready for surgery and my nutritionist wants me to start learning how to chew my food completely. Problem is, I'm not sure what completely is. Do any of you know? What should the texture of my food be when I'm ready to swallow it?
  9. I am SO close to being scheduled for surgery. I know it's going to be done before the year ends. The surgeon wants to do it this year so that my deductible doesn't start all over again, so this is going to be a GREAT Birthday / Christmas Present!!! My birthday is Dec. 1st and Christmas isn't too far behind there.
  10. Hello all!! I'm new to Lap-Band. I do know that I will be scheduled for surgery before the year ends so it will be in the next 2 months. I am very scared to say the least, so I know I will have a lot of questions. I now weight 260. I do not have a goal weight in mind, I just want to lose weight, and I know it isn't going to be easy!!!
  11. Hello everyone!!!! My name is Jackie, I'm 37, married and I have a 3 year old son. I am currently new to Lap-Band. I have spoken to my surgeon and he wants to schedule me before the end of this year for surgery. I'm sure I'll be asking a lot of questions and I can't wait to meet a lot of you!!!:blushing:
