Hey all,
I was banded 10-18-2010 and everything went great, minimal pain in left shoulder and gas pain. Able to swallow Clear liquids with no problem. Went home and no issues and on day 4 woke up and had a hard time getting liquids down. I tried all temperatures of liquids but no change. I had an increase in pain around chest and felt lots of pressure especially after swallowing. Went back to surgeon and he actually took out some Fluid (apparently he leaves a "neutral" amount of fluid in the band at insertion.) Instantly I felt so much better. Fluids go down fine now and xray shows band is in correct placement. He stated he had never had this happen before and never had to access a port so soon after placement. It didn't hurt at all and I no longer have any fear of fills (the bonus). Just wondering if anyone else had any similar experiences.
Thanks...Nic
