OK, so I was banded Oct. 1, and after getting over the initial surgery ouchies, I am feeling pretty darn good! I am sticking to my after surgery diet and I've lost 10lbs(4 I gained during surgery and 6 of my own) and although I had hoped to be one of the speed demon losers...I am happy. So my revelations. I went to Sam' club with my hubbie and as I walked down the aisles I had his overwhelming feeling that I needed to eat and buy food, I thought I was going to hyperventilate seriously. I thought "OMG, how can I be hungry, it's too soon!" So I went to the bathroom, seperating myself and I realized, I wasn't hungry at all. I waited, and truly was grateful to myself for taking the time to think about it and listen to my body...it wasn't hungry, my mind was. Revelation #1, huge for me. The next came Saturday night when my belly was grumbling, growling, making noise my kids heard across the room. I would've normally jumped up and got a snack, but again I just listened and asked myself if I was truly hungry...I wasn't. I grabbed a glass of water and sat sipping in my newfound glory...even if no one else knew. Revelation #2. Great feeling, just thought I'd share.
