Tired and Hair Loss

Recommended Posts

I was banded 5/10/10 and have lost 45lbs. I am exercising 3-4 days per week and typically reach my doctor's goal of 65-70 grams of Protein daily. I have had my thyroid, CBC, metabolic panel and Vit D checked, all were normal. I am tired all the time. I get approx 7-8 hrs of sleep per night and some days am able to take a nap of 2-3 hrs (rare because I work full-time). I do have a 9 month old so I am still recovering from having a baby (c-section) in December. I am also losing a lot of hair and even my hair person said that I am thinning on top. It is usual for me to lose hair but this is much more noticeable. The shower drain is full nearly every day. I am taking my Vitamins. Any thoughts?

Chiildbirth and surgery as well as other things that stress our bodies can often lead to Hair loss. There is a discussion about it on this site somewhere.

I am thinking thyroid...there is a range that says normal. But sometimes our normal is not standard normal. I was in Normal range but for needed some to stop my Hair loss. One doctor said NO thyroid meds, but for me, two doctors out of three have said YES. So, keep that in mind. Especially with your hair falling out, and tired all the time. Hope you get relief soon. ((hugs)),

I lost a ton of hair with each of my kids. It's totally normal even 9 months out.

try taking some folic acid. I started noticing Hair loss and have started taking it. My mom a few years back had gotten extremely ill and lost alot of hair due to the trama. She took that and it helped.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
