New Biggest Loser 9/21 - Lapband Failure Contestant

Recommended Posts

Yep, she's done a great job. I just don't like how all the women keep falling under the yellow line.

I would love to see them do a show just for women and one just for men. I think the results would be more accurate that way.
That's why the years they do couples seem to work better, I think. Especially early in the season, when there is such a disparity between the progress of the men and women.

As the seasons progress, it seems like the women often have the edge. We always wind up with one or two who really, really kick ass.

I really wish they would move that yellow line, it's really taken the fun out of it. Did anyone notice when they were eating at Bob's they didn't act like the food was really that good?

I'm sure she feels like that sometimes. But I don't think it has anything to do with the way they look I think it's when they aren't working as hard as she thinks they can. I give those people credit, I know I would kill over if I spent even 20min. with Bob or Jillian.

I believe she blamed her home life since she was 14 when she had it done, and her mother didn't (still hasn't) changed the food available to her and I believe she has a sister???? At that tender age, it's hard to argue with your authority figure.

Hate to jump into a post this late in the game, but I thought at the beginning of the show they said she had bypass? I love the show but it is unrealistic how much the people work out. Like a previous poster said, who has time after the show to work out 7 to 8 hours a day?

Rick looks Amazing! But I am really getting tired of the game playing.. when did the weight not matter anymore? I wish the person with the lowest % goes home and be done with it... I am really debating even watching it anymore...

I love the show too but it gets pretty ridiculous. I sure don't want to have paramedics standing by with defibrillators when I work out. And I don't think a person has to puke to have a good work out either. By the way, I am kind of new and wondered how do you all get your surgery dates, fill dates and all that other information above your ticker? Thanks!:cursing:

I was really starting to like Rick, too. This was only Week 5 and there is SO much game play going on, I'm getting really tired of it. It makes the show less interesting.

The girls totally could have teamed up against Frado or Brendan, I was hoping they would. I really thought nobody would vote for Rick, but I guess threats are more important than helping your team.

I was really surprised to see Rick voted out. Seems like it's still early, and you would want to keep a strong player on the team.

On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
Soooo I am coming to a realization
of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!
