Free Exercise Music Cd

Recommended Posts

I did my second workout in the new year today - two days in a row, that's a record for me! :D

Kare, I love the CD! I've only made it through the first 5 songs, but my favorite song so far is Footloose. It's always been one of my favorites and it pumps up my energy level. I'll let you know my overall favorite when I get through it all. I'm going to jump around so I can hear them all. I have no patience. ;)

'Course you do know you're supposed to WORKOUT to it, not just LISTEN! It's not a listening CD!

Is that why I haven't heard much from you guys? You haven't heard the CD yet because you're NOT working out???

I wanna hear some WORKOUT STORIES!!

Am I going to have to get Debby-do to come over to this thread and kick ass so I'm not the only LBTette with a sore one??

I'm not gonna read any new posts cuz I don't want hints. Kare, I finally found my MP3 player but couldn't find the CD for my workout yesterday! However, I tackeled a mess and found the CD. I'll use it for my next workout... that's if I can find batteries!

I got it! I got it! I'm so excited. I went out to the mailbox at 11pm Sat night when I realized I hadn't checked the Sat mail. Sigh. It wasn't there. But it is today! Can't wait, I'll let you know how it goes.

Thank You Kare!!!

Send me one please I'm trying to get started before my surgery date.

Um... should I put it in a bottle and throw it into the ocean for ya?

:)

Hey guys.... no more listening in the car!!! Too bad I couldn't program it to say "No, no, noooo.... gotta move your butt to listen" whenever someone sticks it in an auto CD player. In my experience--WHATEVER the music is I get sick of it. So I don't allow myself to listen to my exercise music unless I'm working out. It's funny because if I hear one of those songs in a different context I have a big urge to start jogging!

Okay, I can finally read this thread. I used my CD tonight, and my song just has to be SHE'S A MANIAC. (pounding around doing the Flashback pouncing march.)

Now where'd I put my leg warmers?

Although that certainly WOULD apply--it could a apply to a few others here as well. No.... YOUR song is pretty specific to YOU, D'ahlin. The words don't start until after a FAST prelude and you were probably on the floor panting when they started, but you WILL know it when you hear it.

I've always thought it should be your S party theme song.

I guess that means I gotta workout again tonight, huh? I didn't get through the entire CD though. How long is it? My walk was about 45 minutes, so I'll listen again.

And no, my legwarmers aren't next to the shirt with the torn out sleeves and neck cause I still wear that shirt all the time. Why, is it out of fashion? I just gotta laugh because I remember how bad my dad hated that 80s look with my shirt sleeve hanging off one shoulder from being torn. Sexy!

The whole thing is about 70 minutes. It's much more a running than walking playlist. If you like my taste I'll make you a copy of songs I use for walking--these I use for the elliptical. Start about the 8th song (no, that's not it either, but applicable) and you should get past yours. It is FAAAAST. I had to work myself up to being able to keep pace thruout.

Question for anyone, how did you get your mind right before surgery? Like as far as eating better foods and just doing better in general? I'm having a really hard time with this. Any help is appreciated 🙏❤️

I had about 6 months between deciding to do surgery and getting scheduled. I came across the book The Pound of Cure by Dr. Matthew Weiner, a bariatric surgeon in Arizona, and started to implement some of the changes he recommended (and lost 13 lbs in the process without ever feeling deprived). The book is very simple, and the focus is on whole, plant based foods, but within reason. It's not an all or nothing approach, or going vegan or something, but focuses on improvement and aiming for getting it right 80-90% of the time. His suggestions are divided into 12 sections that you can tackle over time, perhaps one per month for a year if a person is just trying to improve nutrition and build good habits. They range from things like cutting out artificial sweetener or eating more beans to eating a pound of vegetables per day. I found it really effective pre-surgery and it's an eating style I will be working to get back to as I am further out from surgery and have more capacity. Small changes you can sustain will do the most for building good habits for life.

That sounds awesome. I'll have to check that out thanks!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
