Do you honestly ?????

Recommended Posts

Is there anyone who would honestly throw up all the time then go back to get an unfill? At one point I was too tight and I really did not want to go back to my doctor because I liked not being able to eat. Although I knew it was unhealthy, I wanted to stay that way. I did go back to get the unfill but I was really contemplating not doing it. I wanted to wait it out.

Am I the only one who has had these feelings???????

No, you're not the only one who has felt this way.

My last fill was a little iffy. I was certain when I first got it that I needed to get some taken out - It hurt to drink Water. When I realized I just had swelling from the fill I waited it out.

As the month went by I was losing a ton of weight and not getting hungry until the afternoon. It was great.

I was afraid that they would decide I had lost too much weight and want to back me off. But what I've learned over the past month is that the band isn't too tight, I just need to get used to having proper restriction (chewing a ton, eating slowly, etc.)

It does sound like you did the right thing, good luck!

I have had 3 fills that gave me problems- couldn't even keep down a protien shake. I waited them out thinking it was swelling. For 2 I had to go back for an unfill- and still had some restriction. The third time, I waited it out and ended up being fine. I have lots of restriction in the morning, but get hungrier than I'd like by late afternoon. I am so tight in the morning I am afraid to go in for a fill.

My nurse practitioner said I was one of just a few of her patients who are very sensitive to fills. Meaning, I swell a lot afterwards. I've gone back for unfills after two separate fills but only after not being able to drink Water. I figure, I know I can live on liquids so as long as Water and protien shakes go down, I'm good to wait it out up to a week or so.

So my lesson is is after a fill that I have to wait longer than the suggested 24 hours to try even mushies, or I'll irritate my stomach and it'll swell more.

I am actually going back in 2 weeks, the soonest they could get me in! I have given the last fill about 21/2 months for me to adjust to it. I haven't lost anything mainly because I am having to eat slowly throughout the day to get in enough Protein which means I am grazing and can't remember what I have eatten. I know I can/should be tracking but I am miserable. If am able to get something down I have to be standing while I eat...not always possible, or I have to add sauce ...not good, or again graze. Last Monday I threw up scrambled eggs that I chewed to the point where I couldn't anymore...kind of hard to chew eggs when they are already in small pieces! So you are not the only one. I wish this one would have worked but I guess it was too much.

2 fills ago, I probably should have taken some out. But I was losing and felt good, so I waited it out and was OK. That fill lasted 3 months. I was filled last week and am only now starting eggs and a little meat.< /p>

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
