What kind of Protein Shakes??????

Yesterday was my first day of my pre-op diet, it went ok. I did have to walk through the grocery store to get to the bank, and they were baking brownies or something....what a killer! They smelled so good! But I stayed strong!! Yay! :thumbup:Over all, with the protein shakes, I wasn't STARVING, but I did wake up in the middle of the night with a rumbly tummy. I just went back to sleep. Is anyone using the "Special K" Protein shakes for their pre-op diet? I'm not quite sure if I am allowed to drink any kind of protein shake or if I should be using the "medical" quality kind like unjury or something. Does any one know??:smile2:

I enjoy the chocolate GNC whey Protein which has 20 grams of protein. I have not started my preop diet yet, but feel happy because my doctor lets you choose between 5 shakes a day or 3 shakes with 2 lein cuisines, and unlimted veggies.

I met with the NUT a few weeks ago, and she wanted me to lose 13 lbs before seeing the surgeon, I lost 4lbs in four days and she was impressed with that. She thinks I will succeed with the band..I have lost another 2lbs, so I am hoping that by Sept. 8, when I get weigh in again, it will be 6lbs!!
