August Rush in bandland!

Recommended Posts

I'm at 4 cc's now. I think 4 1/2 might be my true sweet spot b/c I'm almost there at just 4 cc's.

Awesome, I'm jealous! I have 3cc's now, 2 my 1st fill and 1 my 2nd. I go in on Oct. 5th for my 3rd fill. I'm hoping I get 2 more - I do not believe I feel any restriction. I do get full faster, but I have to stop myself from eating opposed to the other way around. Best of luck! Hopefully we can get there soon

I had my second fill today. He put in .75 cc to give me 4.25 cc in my band. I have lost 17.5 pounds since August 23. I was so happy with that. That puts me down a total of 45 pounds since June 30.

I have forgotten how yucky the liquid diet is. Tomorrow is pureed foods, and Saturday is mushies. I can't wait till Sunday when I can eat actual food.

Congrats Monica, I wish I was down 45lbs. I am beginning to feel that I'll never get there.

I feel like I'm just on another diet. I don't feel my band at all.

I've noticed during the day I can feel pretty tight but as the evening rolls around my hunger kicks in and I'm not as tight and I'm fighting cravings. I'm not much of a sweet eater but last night I was craving cake. I didn't have any but I hate that feeling. I had a portion of vanilla wafers (8 wafers) but still craving.

I feel very frustrated and I'm not happy at all. I'm beginning to wonder if I will really meet my goal.

Sorry you had a bad episode Beachbunny. I hate throwing up so I try to avoid that. I have had a stuck episode and it was painful to me also. I felt it all down my back.

What to do? what to do?

Congratulations surgery buddy! I'm at 190 and holding! I so want that number to say 189, but I have to remember that it's not a race and I'm not competing with anyone but myself. I was so happy to see the 1 as the first number, I should just be pleased with the results so far!

I am due for my second fill tomorrow, I have to call and make an appointment, I can't believe it's already been 4 weeks since my first fill! I definitely need one...I had 3cc in my band already so they added .5 cc to it. For the past week, I have been able to eat a lot more food than I had previously, I even ate almost an entire Subway sandwich. I wasn't trying to eat it all, but I was thinking I would stop once I felt satisfied. I ate 3/4 of it! bread and all! Last night I went out to dinner with the family and brought half of my meal home and no dessert, not even a bite! I was pretty proud of myself...and the fact that I was wearing my size 14 jeans that I've never been able to get much of a leg into and now I can wear them and zipper with no problem!

Hope everyone is doing well. I am finding that I don't come on as much because sometimes I forget that I even have had the surgery and still need the support that goes with it. I know I'm not doing everything I can and should be logging on more, I'll work on that!

Hey Lap2Fab, Wow great job! other than the subway! ha ha ha! I want a subway BLT soooo bad! I can feel like that too at times! I have really been using will power and not the band to stop eating! I can't wait till my next fill on Oct 11! As Msdv said in her post, i am having craving really bad at night also. i have been between 188 and 189 for about a week, i stared pilates a few days ago! i need to tighten up my jiggle, ha ha! However I too am wearring my wonderful size 14's, yay!!!!!!!!

Msdv I love you girl, please don't give up remember that we are in this together, you have been my support when i need you so message me if you need to vent more or for more support!

I hope all my fellow bandsters and august rushers are hanging in there! have a great weekend!

~Dena~

LOL!

Yesterday I was stuck on a piece of dry chicken breast. I read on these boards months ago how Papaya enzyme can help with stuck episodes. I bought some right then. Yesterday I remembered I had them so I took them and it really did seem to help and they taste good too.

Thanks.

You will get there. I got very discouraged a few weeks ago. I actually gained 5 pounds over 2 days, and I was horrified. I couldn't figure out what I had done that was different to cause me to gain weight. I still don't know what I did to cause the weight gain. I just know that I didn't want to do a "diet". I was also wondering if I would ever get to my goal. There are days that I still do wonder that.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
