  4. Hi guys! Haven't been on here in awhile.... How is everyone! I am still waiting and waiting. This is the longest 6/7 months ever!
  5. Ok! Guys! I just realized that my first appointment with Dr. Miles is on Monday! Freaking! What should I expect? What should I say? Anything I shouldn't say? What all are they going to do????? HELP!!!!!!
  6. All is well.......sitting here billing claims as usual on this rainey day  Of course I bumped my appointments up! On the 15th I have to do a regular 3 hour sugar test at 7:00 AM, see my norm Dr. at 10:00 AM, and then see Dr. Miles for my first official appointment at 1:30 PM! I am going to have a super busy day! Pray I do not run late! I had all my really good physical blood work done Tuesday at my norm Dr. So, things are on the way! I am almost 1 solid month in! Now 5 more months left and we can get this show on the road!!!!
  7. Hi girl! Glad that is OVER!!!! I was thinking about you!
  8. Wow! Thanks for reading my blog! Ya'll have all been so sweet! Thanks so much for all ya'lls help!!!!!! You are right, it will be here before I know it! Which is probably a good thing, I am ready to get this band on! LOL!!!
  9. I know this is a really silly question...but when you get stuck is it like you are choking and you can not breathe????
  10. Great idea! Anything to move this along faster! I think I'll get my calender out and do some rearanging! Ha!!!!!!!
  11. Do ya'll both have the Realize???
  12. Great info! Thanks! I am so glad I know you "in real life"!!!!! I didn't want to say but I am really worried about all this pre-testing blood work! I hate to go to the Dr. as is!!!! Let alone any kind of testing My primary has put people throught successfully. Actualy a lady that works at the office had the lap band put in in December. The only thing is that she typically uses Dr. Matthews at Princeton. I think I am the first one to use Dr. Miles. I have heard a lot of people complain about the Dr. Schmitt ENT Dr. Miles refers to. Pretty much the same thing you are saying. She rescedules and losses everything. My aunt actualy had the gastric bypass done by Dr. Miles and he finally had to refer her to another ENT because Dr. Schmitt ENT kept delaying her surgery because of lost paper work and so on. I might consider doing the sleep study with the Dr. my primary requested or see if Dr. Miles will refer me to someone different! I have had a sugar test done many many years ago probably like 5. It came out border line. They told me not to gain any weight and I have probably gained 40 lbs since then  Thanks for the 30 day tip. I am going to go back and check and make sure none of my appointments are more than 30 days apart! Oh, but they still need to be 1 in a month right? Wow, I can't wait to have this surgery so I can just focus on getting my health back in order!
  13. Thanks Kaninag! I just went to primary Dr. and she was very encouraging! She was very excited that I had choosen to do the lap band! That made me feel a lot better! I scheduled all my appointments for the next 6 long long months. She wants to go ahead and run some tests on me in the mean time. She wants me to do a sleep study, 3 hour sugar test, light down the throat, and typical blood work. Did anyone else's primary want to do all these tests? Is it ok to go ahead and use the Dr.'s she refered me too (ex. sleep study), or should I wait till Dr. Miles refers me! I know I have a lot of questions Ya'll have been really sweet to listen to me!!!!!
  14. LollyMoe.... 70 lbs in 6 months is so awesome! I am so ready to start this new chapter of my life. The 6 month wait is such a bummer! I will make it though. I keep telling myself it is really not that bad. The olnly thing I worry about with this band is...after I go through all of this will it work for me? I have such a hard time losing weight. I read on these boards about people who have done awesom and like lost 30lbs pre-op, and so on and so on. I am not one of those people it is like virtually impossible for me to loose weight. I have no sucsess. I have been going to the gym for the past 8 months 3 times a week. I have not lost a lb. I know I haven't been eating right, but anybody that weighs as much as me should shed atleast 5 lbs in 8 months. I just pray that this will help me loose weight! Thanks again!
