I have been overweight all my life. Took the first step on May 6th. Insurance has been approved. Surgery date Aug. 25th @ 7:30am. Have pre-op appt with nutrionist on Aug 4th. I am actually not nervous at all, I'm excited and looking forward to my new and better life. Im estatic I found this website, there is so much information. :thumbup: :thumbup:

HipHop and JerseyDiva, I almost laughed out loud reading your posts. I can't believe you're meeting each other in the hallway--what a great way to get support from each other! As for me, I'll likely be banded in November--still going through the pre-op insurance part and am trying to be patient.

Hey kathysox we did meet up. It was really kool to meet someone who is getting lapband and the same day. You can't beat that. I am in some pain which I know will subside. Keeps us posted on ur surgery day!
