I still eat spicy foods but not as often as before and when i do I sometimes sip a little drink while I am eating. The band itsself has had no effect on my tolerence for spicy food just the fack we are not supposed to drink during a meal. If you can handle the heat go for it!

When food is spicy the best thing to do is eat something cool not drink. Normal accompaniments for curry are things like yogurt, raita, cucumber type salads etc.

Drinking something cold can make the food burn more!

There is no reason why you shouldn't be able to eat spicy foods with a band.

I can't tolerate spicy foods since being banded. I once tried some really spicy chicken sausage and it came right back up. Guess everyone is different. No reason not to try something spicy and see how you do.

I just ate a can of Sardines in HOT sauce...i'm still on mushies...it was yumo!! I've been adding lots of spices..sweet, hot and smokey spices to my mushy food, it gets rid of the BLANDS. I use, curry, smoked paprika, 5 spice powder, tobasco, chili powder, nutmeg...all with no problem so far!
