How much weight have you lost?

Recommended Posts

What was the date of your surgery?

How healthy did you/do you eat?

How much do you exercise?

How much have you lost?

Are you happy with your results?

just curious :]

Surgery-12/16/09

Diet-I eat a world better than I did before, but I do not deprive myself (I allow myself a bite or two of bad things once in a great while)

Exercise-I fell off the wagon for a while, but am just getting back on. I have been walking/jogging at LEAST 1 mile everyday and then sometimes riding my bike along with that

Weight Lost-I am 5'4" and started off at 248..when I last weighed myself I was 189 (I won't change my ticker until "official weigh in day" of Monday) so that's 59lbs

I would so do this again! If you would have asked me during "bandster hell" I may have said no, but this has been truly life-changing for me, and it's only going to get better!

What was the date of your surgery? > December 17, 2009

How healthy did you/do you eat? > I was a grazer. I ate pretty healthy foods, but ate all throughout the day and loved Desserts. Now, I still eat about 5 mini meals a day but they are very low carb and high Protein. So it keeps me full and satisfied. Desserts are now a treat and not a daily "must"

How much do you exercise? > This has been the toughest thing for me. I am more active, but not hitting the gym as hard as I'd like. I walk everyday for at least 45 minutes, continuosly.

How much have you lost? > 76 lbs since surgery, including a few weeks of a plateau as well.

Are you happy with your results? > absolutely. What you put into this, you get out. I am 100% accountable for every pound I gain or lose.

hey there...hope all is well!!

lets see...banded July 1. lost about 50 lbs pre op, about 66 in total...I am an exerciser...I am a walking maniac! lol...I just got my stamina back after surgery, and have been walking 5 miles a day, and swimming, and chasing my kids around, lol...

happy with my results, happy with my choice, a little afraid of real food to be honest, lol....remember though, this is just a tool, its not the "easy way out..." you have to work it, like anything else...

I eat pretty healthy...(especially right now, !!) low carb works for me, so thats what I do......mostly Protein shakes still....

good luck!!! I'm assuming you're doing research??

July 22, 2009 - Will be my first year anniversary next week!

Before ate bacon, egg cheese biscuits for Breakfast, pizza buffet for lunch and Mexican platter for dinner, not really, but almost, desserts every single day

Now, I eat what I'm in the mood for that doesn't make me feel like I will choke, which is not healthy for fruits and vegetables, just about 1/10 the amount.

Haven't officially exercised yet, although I (plan) to

Lost 120 pounds

Happy with the weight loss, but not the excess sagging skin.

(no fill ever)

All-in-all, ok

I feel some restriction in the morning, but other than that, not really. Thanks. I was amazed that it all just kind of fell off. I lost most of that the first year.

What was the date of your surgery? May 10, 2010

How healthy did you/do you eat? Pretty healthy. I count my carbs, fats, and calories each day. Protein of course too. Before I'd skip breakfast/lunch and just binge at dinnertime.

How much do you exercise? At least 45 minutes a day.

How much have you lost? Almost 50lbs.

Are you happy with your results? Estatic! 50lbs gone in 3 months and no fill. I couldn't be more happy! Hopefully the trend continues.

What was the date of your surgery? July 16, 2009 (Today!!!)

How healthy did you/do you eat? I attempted to eat healthy in the past although, unsuccessful at times. Now, with the band I may treat myself every now and then but my meals are planned and focus on Proteins first... not the cookie or cake first.

How much do you exercise? When I was first banded I exercised at least 5 times a week. I must admit I have slacked off a bit but I'm trying to get back on track.

How much have you lost? To date I have lost 65 lbs!!!

Are you happy with your results? I am extremely happy with my results thus far.

Good luck to you!!!!

My surgery was Oct 1, 2009

Fairly healthy - I just don't eat very much

I walk my dog 2x a day and go to the gym for 1 hr 3x a wk

As of yesterday, I've lost 46 lbs

If you were to have asked me 4 mths ago, I would have said no, but now that I have good restriction, definately I'm happy. Could have been more, but as my doc says "the slower you lose, the longer you'll keep it off"

I am booked for surgery on Aug 11th. Met with the doctor and everyone yesterday. I was surprised that they put my goal weight so high. I am 5'7" and they said 175 should be my goal weight. I had hoped to get down to about 155. Am I being completely unrealistic?

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
