Trying to find people in Vancouver, B.C. Canada who are getting banded soon or have recently been banded.

I'm in the Vancouver area and I'm starting the process to be banded. Appointment with my GP tomorrow to talk about the different routes I could take, and I'm considering going to Mexico to have the surgery done.

So I can't offer much advice right now, but can offer an ear and kind support.

Hey guys, I really can't be much help, as I've only started talking to my dr, but I live in Burnaby and it's great to see that there are others in the lowermainland who are on here too! It's good to have the support, and really nice to have local support.

Joanne....My surgery is booked for July 28th, 2010 with Dr.Woodhead in Ladner. He is great and the process was really quick. 2 weeks for my assessment appt and then surgery was booked 1 month later. contact me on email if you want to contact further. I am looking for people in the lower mainland who want to share experiences, give each other support, and maybe met once a month or so to chit chat about the whole thing.
