I was recently diagnoised with a dilated esphogas and a hiatal hernia. My doctor has been suggesting a band replacement for some time since I have a lot of throwing up issues -- the last appointment she insisted. So two weeks later I was scheduled for surgery. I am not sure why, but I took a pregnancy test the morning of the surgery -- it was positive. I went to the store and got another one-- it was positive. Still convinced it was wrong I went to the hospital and had a blood test and yes it was positive. So now I am 4 weeks pregnant with some issues. I am thrilled to be pregnant - I have a three year old boy - but nervous with the band issues I have. It is hard to change gears from replacement surgery to pregnancy. I am going to have the band slowly unfilled (Not totally).
What a week!!!
