i have bc/bs insurance and was told I needed the 6 month nutrition diet prior to submitting insurance.:thumbup:

I appealed the six months with bs ca hmo and won. I submitted weight watchers records from numerous attempts and also used information from Weight Loss Surgery for Dummies. They have some advice on appealing the six month requirement.

I have Anthem BCBS of California PPO and was approved within 6 working days. I was not required to have a monitored diet. I did have to submit that I had tried to lose weight....I submitted the last year of WW weight sheets as proof that I had tried.
