Just curious what you eat in a day

Recommended Posts

I am 4 days post-op and still in my liquid phase but I got to thinking what is a food day like for a bandster who is now on solid food.

Just curious to see what you guys are eating.

My day so far is not that exciting-lol

Water

Then for Breakfast low fat whipped yougurt and some Jello

Then been sipping juice and Water off and on.

lunch will be chicken broth-yippee

Hi Caroline,

The last few days I've been eating without a thought as to self-control. Here's what I ate today, eating until I absolutely did not want any more:

Breakfast:

one-half of a small omelet with cheese and broccoli

two cups coffee

Lunch:

15 or so cubes of salami, ham, and cheese (leftovers from a Thanksgiving appetizer platter)

a bunch of olives

one clementine (like a tangerine)

Snack:

small dish of premium ice cream

dinner (at a Mexican restaurant):

tortilla chips and salsa

a serving of catfish poppers (appetizer-size meal)

handful of french fries (stolen from daughter)

It's amazing to me that even when I feel like I'm eating out of control this is all I have really eaten today. These meals are a faction of the size I would have consumed pre-band, and on a normal day when I'm drinking like I should be I'd eat even less.

The great thing is that I eat until I'm full and that's just a whole lot sooner than it used to be.

I eat a two egg omlett only one yolk/cheese/ham or oatmeal for Breakfast. Now I get up at like 3:30PM go work out while I down a couple bottles Water before breakfast at around 530or 600. At 12 or 1am I eat like Mr. Boston chicken pot pie( These things are to good man) if I'm really hungry. I sometimes eat those tuna pouches like lemon pepper flavor with maybe wheat krackers. I will eat like nuts or something very light at 3 or 4 am then thats it. I really am in control of how much to eat. I can go many hours on a tuna pouch if I want too. I do this a few days a week when I push the fat away!! If I am hungry really hungry I add a glass of water while I eat and down goes the food or more than a pouch anyway. I have lost over 30 lbs since August 12 and I am in great shape now. I work out like a mad man.

I can eat pizza from pizza hut, couple slices if I want. Tacos from taco bell a couple, You see the moderation now with the band is key!!! Good luck and remember we still have to work this weight off. Get some exercise and make a decision to take this tool and change your life forever..

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
