Care Credit! I tried to get this as I have this credit card. but my doctor didn't accept care credit. They have a loan 1 year, 2 year, or 3 years for low interest. Check it out and see if your doctor accepts it.

It all depends on your income I believe. At the time I applied I applied for 4k and was only working part time at 10/hr. I was approved for that much, even though I only needed 2k. You dont need to accept it if you dont want to , but it wont hurt to see how much you can get approved for.

I was approved through www.efinancing-solutions.com/.

Of course, I am going to The Obesity Control Clinic in mexico, so my surgery is $6500.00. I am paying 3k out of pocket and financed $3500.00 interest free for the first year. They go by income and credit as well. Good Luck!

I'm in the same boat in regard to the credit/income ratio and I was approved with no problems. You're not asking for $20k, just $5-7k by going to Mexico. Big difference.

ha-ha... thats if my wife don't freak about me going to Mexico. But I found a few doctors that are $12k instead of the first one charging $17k.

I just wonder what can possibly be the difference for the $5k.

The difference is usually not the quality in care, it's the doctor wanting to compete. For instance, surgeons in Texas are known to be cheaper because they are competing with the Mexicans. The Mexicans will always be cheaper also bot because of quality, but because the cost of running a hospital down there is so much lower. OR nurses in the States make $64,000 a year, nurses in Mexico make $6,400.00 a year.

I'm so glad you have been able to find an American surgeon in the 12k range, like i said before, Dr. K in Colorado is $9995 and people have great things to say about him. Keep us posted!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
