Its probably just a reaction to your pre-surgery nerves. Are you feeling completely positive about your op? I'm bipolar so suffer from depression regularly and its horrible. But it doesn't tend to land on you very suddenly so I think you'll probably be feeling much more positive tomorrow.

Remember the golden rules of treating anxiety / depression / stress

face your fears

be more active

watch the booze

hope this helps, and good luck with your op, I'm having mine the same day!

Hey Dblex,

I hear you. My surgery is on Wednesday and I am typically the "eternal optimist" and today I'm in a definate funk. Now that

"the" day is almost here, I find myself, second guessing (which isn't me by nature - I make a decision and follow through), but this is forever. And I think we're only human for the mental

gymnastics we're going through. Hang in there - we can do this.

You could be mourning the lifestyle that you are giving up. You know there is a big change on the horizon and change can be scary. That is how I felt.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
