Favorite Protein shake recipes

Recommended Posts

Good morning!!! I'm hoing we could all share our favorite Protein shake recipes. I'm looking to add to my recipe book and get more variety!!!

I have 1 that I really like:

Hazelnut Mochachinno

8 oz skim milk

1 scoop chocolate Protein powder

1 tbsp Decaf instant coffee

1 packet splenda

1 tbsp SF hazelnut Syrup

Put it in a shaker bottle and add a few ice cubes. I usually let it set overnight so the flavors blend but you can drink immediately. I also have put in the blender to make an icy coffee drink. 190 calories & 22g protein!!! It keeps me full for hours!!!! Yummy!:o

Sorry, I must admit that half of the reason I drink shakes is that they are fast and easy and I don't have to think. The other half is that I need extra Protein, they go down easily, and they taste good.

That being said, I might like to try a recipe now and then, but for me the Atkins Advantage shakes are fine right from the fridge!

OK I have some valuable advice, when you get up and are still half asleep and making a strawberry smoothie with fresh strawberries you should double check that you are using the UNFLAVORED Protein Powder instead of the chicken Soup Protein powder. Chicken soup and strawberry smoothie, not good.

Hello there! Now that it's ice cream season, and I was having such cravings...I thought I would try and make a shake to take the place for the ice cream....and oh my god is it amazing.

chocolate Peanutbutter shake

6 oz chobani plain greek yogurt

4 oz skim milk plus

1 tbsp chocolate peanutbutter (regular peanutbutter would be fine)

2 tbsp light chocolate Syrup.

Calories: 285

Prot: 26.5 g

Soooo good! Hope you enjoy

I have no good recipes for the a protien drink. I just buy the pre-made one and grab one in the morning. But I will suggest that if you have a Smoothie King in your area try their Gladiator. I think it is only 180 calories and 45 grams of Protein. You can choose any two fruits you want. I like either pineapple and orange or strawberry and banana. Next time I think I will try strawberry and kiwi.

Keep the recipes coming, love 'em.

I like this one for a change of pace:

2/3 C skim milk

1 scoop Believe Caramel Latte Protein powder

1 1/2 tsp FF instant banana pudding

dash of ground cinnamon

I could add ice, but haven't yet. Kinda reminds me of bananas foster, w/o rum....maybe I'll get some rum flavor extract or something.

I have another!! I actually do like the shakes so I like hearing the variety. Here is another.

sugar free Banana bread Protein shake

Mix all ingredients in blender on high speed. Makes approximately one 20oz. shake loaded with protein and tastes just like banana bread without the fat or sugar!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
