Waking up hungry in the middle of the night?

I'll eat a filling dinner arounf 5:30 or 6. A lot of the time I wake up starving at midnight or 1am. I try and ignore it, but sometimes it makes me almost nauseated when I wake up in the middle of the night like that. Can anyone help?

I have a snack at about 8 pm of greek style yogart (loaded with protein and low in sugars) with some honey sprinkled on top of it. I also drink more than 64 oz of fluid every day. I find both help with hunger. Protein and filling up on fluids. Perhaps a light snack as the one mentioned above will help. Just remember to measure it out so you don't have too many calories. Best wishes!!!

How about a hot milky drink an hour or so before you go to bed?

I wake up in the middle of the night hungry sometimes. I try to ignore it but if it's really bad I will have a light snack. I do this especially if my day was fairly low in calories. A snack before I go to bed may be more enjoyable lol. I will try it.

Do you have flexibility in your mealtimes? If so, I'd shift your dinnertime up a bit--dinner at 5:30 requires that you go an awfully long time without eating, even if you add in a Protein shake later in the evening.

Dinner at 6:30 and a Protein Shake around 9 would make a huge difference, I bet.
