Greetings from NC-the Journey Begins

Hello to all,

I am 9 days away from the biggest thing I've done in years! I will be having surgery next Thursday and have decided that the more support I can have the better it will be.

So...I signed up on the site and put alot of my history out when I registered. I have been overweight all my life, and this is a piviotable year for me, I turn 50, I will be married 30 yrs in September, and 6 months ago, my PCP told me that if I didn't do something about my weight, all my problems, high BP, high cholesterol, sleep apena, borderline diabetes, fibromyalgia, etc, would have me dead in 10 yrs. So... that was my wake up call... I am thrilled, scared, worried, excited, and afraid all at one time.... Give me some pre surgery advice. I am doing the "liver shrinking diet" as my surgeon calls it... It's more like a "no-nothing diet" but I'm on day 6 and have done relatively well. Look forward to hearing back from lots of you soon!
