Does this sound like restriction?

Recommended Posts

Breakfast I can eat Cream of Wheat no problem, if I try eggs or something more solid I can usually eat about 4-5 bites comfortably.

lunch, Im not sure how much I can eat, I usually have something small and its hit or miss.

dinner, I can eat what seems like a good bit more, I dont keep a food journal so Im not sure of amount. I know its not nearly what I ate before but it seems like it might be too much.

I try to have something small for snack before bed if Im hungry but last night I ate a whole 1# container of strawberries with no problem. I wanted to stop (not because I was full)but It was hard to leave the last 5-6 in the container, and I convinced myself It was ok because they where strawberries, and I understand too m8uch of anything isnt good!

I havent had a fill yet as Im only almost 1 month out(March 10th). I do see my surgeon on the 18th for a possible fill. Thats a whole nother story there, I shouldnt have watched a fill on you-tube, the needle was huge and they jammed it in so far and quick!!!

My fills are a breeze. Do not believe what you see on utube. My dr. gives me a tiny prick of numbing medicine and 10 seconds later the bigger needle goes in and I do not feel one thing. When they are done I am always saying... Wow that was so simple. And, here's my opinion - you are eating carbs for Breakfast and no lunch so of course you are able to eat A LOT at dinner. Start eating Protein for Breakfast and EAT something Protein based for lunch. I had four fills before I had restriction so for me having a band with no fill was like having no band. Get the fills. It's what you did this for.

Good Luck.

Yah, I tried to convince myself that I was going to be one of the very few who dont need a fill to lose weight! I guess if Im asking these questions and telling you I ate a whole carton of strawberries I answered my own question. But I had my appointment with my family dr. today and I lost 3 more pounds so that puts me at 40# in almost a month out. My dr was so happy for me, Ive been going to him for over 10 years. That is so motivating! Thanks for the responses.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
