Granny on Wheels.....

Recommended Posts

Well I have decided I might like riding instead of walking for excersize so me and my sister have bought Bikes ...there are many Bike tracks in the area....I am sure we will look a sight... and maybe we should invest in training wheels too , its been many years ..

My cheeky son is charging up the video camera he reckons we could win on Funniest home Videos...Cheeky Brat ... icon_e_confused.gificon_lol.gif

Here is the Bike I have ordered.....should be here next week sometime.....:frown:

Way to go gal! I have a new bike in the garage also... but not enough nerve to ride it! hips and knees hurt too much now, to risk falling off! But maybe a bit further down the line...who knows? But..as for you..ENJOY! :o

Well the Bike arrived yesterday afternoon ...I am excited and also a bit scared its been well over 30 years since I have been on a bike (I hope it comes back to me) ..I am off to take my parents shopping and for lunch out hopefully hubby will put the bike together for me and late this afternoon we will go over to our factory (which has a big parking area ) its in a nice quite street in an industrial area so I will have some privacy while I see if I remember how to ride ..lol..

excited and a little scared....

Have a Good Friday / Thursday evening all my LBT mates ...and a great weekend ...

Hugs Marion..

I DID It.....

Yes I had my first ride today , with my sister .. Hubby Joe and son David came with us to the factory and we practiced for 45mins late this afternoon , I was so scared and very wobbly but didn`t crash and didn`t need training wheels , I think a few practices at the factory (when no one is at work) we will be o.k the industrial area is really quite too so we will go around the block as well ....

Here I am , I hope the excersize helps with the weight loss , but it helps with my mood I felt so good and happy to be actually outside doing something ....

I hope everyone is doing well and have a great weekend all...

Good for you! I am not ready for biking, as last time I did I got bike, butt. I find the seats uncomfortable. But, since I have lost as much as I have, might have to try it myself. When I do it at the gym on stationary bikes, I still feel uncomfortable.:)

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
