April 21st is the day!

Hi Everyone,

I finally got my surgery date, April 21st. I am so nervous, scared, and excited all at the same time. I started this process in mid December and now that I have my date for surgery I am petrified. It has been 20 years since I spent a night in the hospital, and I have never, ever, had any serious medical procedures done before. I mean, I have never even broken a bone in my body. Does anyone have any advise on how I can prepare for surgery? You guys advise in the past has been so great!

Congratulations. I am in the same boat as you. My date is April 2nd. I am nervous, however, I am not letting that take control of my life. I think about life on the other side and then I calm myself down. There is lots of information on the Post-Op section of the forums.
