Need Lap Band Buddy / Mentor Looking for Buddy in NC

Hi - I have been reading a lot on this forum since January and today, I was scheduled for surgery on March 31st. I think I am ready...but, will definitely need a buddy to reach out to from time to time. Anyone got advice that you could share? I've quit caffiene & alcohol, ditched the sodas, loaded up the pantry with jello, crystal light, broth, light soups, kellog special K protein drinks (seem to taste better to me than Atkins), got the chewable vitamins, melting B12s, under the tongue Gas-X and probably a few other things I can't think of now. I've started using Wii to add to the physical activity and actually dusted off (and used!) my treadmill. What else should I be doing in these two weeks prior to surgery? :cursing:

Sound slike you are ready. I'll be here to help so reach out by post, PM or email anytime you like. With 6 years under my belt (should I say band) and maintaining for 4 I hope I have some words of wisdom along the way for those learning. By the way I learn something new every day. The great thing about this journey is it brought me even more in tune with my body thatn I was before. You may find some useful information on my blog of my journey at :

Good luck and best wishes for a great new stage of your life!
