Need Lap Band Buddy / Mentor Not losing yet and still hungry

Hi. I got banded February 11th and have only lost 2 pounds. I'm still hungry all the time and I'm starting to become discouraged. I'm hoping that I will feel less hungry after I get my fill next week. Is this normal? I really need a buddy on this journey!

I think a lot of people here will tell you that is totally normal, especially if you haven't had a fill yet. Hang in there, and remember that it may take more than one fill to get good restriction.

Normally whatever you lose between you surgery date and your first fill is a blessing. This is your healing time. After your first fill..you will start to lose weight!! Hopefully you will feel a little restriction as well after your fill..you will more than likely need another fill (most do) and maybe take away a little bit of the hungry feeling. Just keep your head up and watch what you are eating as well as your portions. If you ever just want to talk you can always reach me at dsmith16@tampabay.rr.com.
