I was thinking of going in for an unfill because I was finding it hard to eat certain foods, but my sister & the nurse from my Dr.'s office helped me realize I was eating the wrong foods or eating the wrong way. To begin I went in about 3 weeks ago because I felt too loose and I had been eating just about anything and gained some weight... (about 5 lbs) The Dr. said I had not gained but what she didn't know and later found out through me, was that I had lost more weight since I saw her last but that through bad eating habbits that resurfaced ie.(eating and drinking, not chewing food down all the way) I had gained a few lbs. She filled me and I went on my way. I was doing ok and then started to plateu and regurgitate water or food that had not gone down, pretty soon I would try eating things I knew were not ok to eat, because they down (candy). I would also eat different things if I was out with people I did not want to tell I had the band. I believe my band had some swelling around it and almost went in today for an unfill. I called the Dr.'s office and explained to the nurse that I really thought something was wrong, she asked me if I was eating too fast, drinking when eating, eating foods that were not right and then my sister confirmed it for me when I told her the same. They both told me to stick to liquids for a few days till swelling goes down. i'm having soup now but would like to know if anyone has experienced anything like this.
