PORT PAIN near belly button!

My port area has always been sensitive, but for the last 3 days if i bend over just a little or turn i feel this sharp pain near my belly button !!! It's a sharp pain and it's freaking me out. Has anyone had pain like this before? Please help me out here. I called my doc and he said it could be scar tissue healing, but if it persists i should go to emergency. I just want to hear other opinions. Thanks, RUBINA :)

I have the exact same problem. Mine hurts severely just to the left (about an inch)of my belly button especially when I bend, try to sit up in bed, cough, sometimes even if I breath really deep. My doctor said it is where my port is. He said if it gets worse and not better then to come in and see him.

Does your pain medicine help? I was given Hydrocodone(SP?) but I take liquid tylenol during the day because I have a baby at home to take care of and don't want to be loopy from the meds. It seems to help. Hope I have helped you.

I have Hydrocodone for the evening, but I take liquid tylenol during the day for pain. I just don't want to take it on a daily basis. It helps a little. Im 5 weeks post-op and my doc said it could take MONTHS before i start to completely heal. Oh man...i just want it to go away. -RUBINA
