Surgery Scheduled Tuesday Dec 29th! Any suggestions or words of wisdom?

After a 7 month long journey I am finally having my surgery on Tuesday @ St. Josephs in Burbank, CA and I am SO excited. Any advice that any has to offer would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you

Get up to walk as soon as you can. Make sure you can drink water and urinate BEFORE leaving the hospital. Ask your doctor for something for pain at home. Have plenty of GAS-X strips (read directions on box) and liquid Tylenol on hand at home. Sleep with a pillow supporting your tummy and back. Good luck.

Make sure your fridge and pantry are stocked with good things...popcisicles, jello, iceopure (or any clear liquid protein) ... do you have a recliner? If you do get it ready to sleep in the first few nights WAY more comfortable.

Can not stress enough the importants of walking.. it will help so much with the gas pains in your shoulders and chest. I also found that sleeping on my back was easier than on the side even with support from pillows.. keep up with the liquids and gas x strips.. i am now three days post op and the walking and gas x strips have helped so much.. that's the most painful pain i have felt.. but it does subside.. best of luck!!! DECEMBER DELIGHTS!!!

Congratulations and good luck on your journey.
