  1. Well the first thing you need to concentrate is getting health.. im not gonna lie its a hard journey.. I am down 42 pounds in 17 weeks this Tuesday... once the weight comes off and you can tell.. people will notice.before.you do.. I haven't really missed the food. I have however missed the soft drinks but I have been trying other drinks.. the hardest thing for me is trying to exercise like I should. With working full time going to school part time and having a child active in gymnastic and full.time mother. Im also.going to.prevent my child from being embrassed of her overweight mom. And from being overweight herself. I have been overweight since puberty so I had to deal with the cruel things that kids say..

  5. Unforunately, you are going toh ave days like that. Emotion play a major toll on your band. I don't eat first thing after waking up.. I eat breakfast around 930 am. This allow me to eat my eggs with cheese. I know many people who only have a protein shake for breakfast. Once again it proves we all are different. I can tell you that if i am upset I don't eat. Then there's day I want to eat anything and everything.. But I am not able to do so.. You will have to listen to your body. If you are new to being banded its going to take you some time in order to understand.. I have been banded since January 25, 2011, I am still trying to figure out what I can and can't eat.
  6. Many doctors office uses the intial weight. However if its a insurance requirement they are checking to see if you can lose weight on your own. Many times your insurance company requires you to do a six months supervisory diet with a physician.
  7. Congrats. I hope you have a great time
  8. Well, its been over a month since I did a blog.. I have gotten behind.. Oops.. Well, a lot has occured in my life the last month.. I was given a clear bill of health from the neurologist.. Everything was normal.. However during this scare I did have to get an attitude with the Doctor's office for not communicating with me as a patients.. I was being left in the dark about everything.. I am glad thats over with.. Well, this month I had to learn that my husband cheated on me with some stank.. I found this out on Mother's day weekend not to mention that my in laws were there.. excuse the expression.. We have been married 11 years this month.. I am still uncertain what I need to do about this. I am still in the grief process. I think that the biggest problem about all of this I don't know if I will ever going to be able to trust him again.. All of the stuff I had to deal with this made me fail my first college class since being in college. I am pissed about that.. Now, I had to retake the class not to mention I have to pay for it again. Well, I have had some interesting issues occur during my last post. I can not eat roast, pork, and apple skins.. I know that this is still a learn experience but you would think that I would know things by now.. It gets really upsetting when have these episodes..
  9. Well, I have been dismissed from the neurologist.. There isn't anything wrong with me.. Well, WTF right.. but its okay..
  10. Each doctor has their own forms and rules.
  11. You can die from any surgery. There's can be complications. Yourdoctor does the procedure its your reason for failing however There are some cases when it a bad band but you have to take responsibility for your results. If want to be.sucessful you have to sT.right and exercise.
  12. Unforunately, your horomones are also changing with the weight lost. So, this can cause a lot of problems.. Just pray that you don't end up with bladder infection and yeast infection because of it too.. This can be caused from losing weight.
  13. I dont use anything. However I hve heard of merdema and cock butter or vitman e oil.
  14. Each doctor has their own set of guidelines. I am very happy with my surgeon I see on a monthly basis at support groups. He's very active in our weight loss.
  15. Its normal. Unfortunately the pain last four about a week.,
  16. It helps to decrease the size of your liver so reduces of pentrating the liver during surgery. My surgeron required all paitient to a four week preop diet. If your bmi isover 50 you are on it for six weeks. I only lost ten pounds.

  18. I have no problem with breastfeeding in public especially if you use a. Shield or blanket.. I breastfed my child for eight months. I did do it in public but I didn't whip out my.boob. for all to see. Its called use respect for others.
  19. You will probably go about a week after surgery.the thing you have to realize is tha you put your whole body through this ordeal. Its about same time after having a baby. It will be a lot softer or lose due liquids so don't freak out. If you get too paranoid call your doctor and see what he or she might recommend.
  20. Okay first of all they use your consultation weight. Most people lose ten to twenty pounds duringthe preop diet.
  21. Well when was the last time you had a fill. Im 16 week out and have lost 41.. I have had a lot of issues to overcome including my husband cheating on me.
  22. You are going to changed but its going to be okay.. You are going to be come a more confident person.. You aren't gonna want to hide out in the crowd.. you are going to want people to take noticed there isn't anything wrong with it.. i really think that those people who say things like that are the ones that are going to concern about losing you as a friend.. I really think that some people tend to have issues with the person that had surgery.. because they are confident and feel better about themselves.. If they are your true friend then they will be there.. you are going to have good and bad days.. I have had more bad days lately because I am soo freaking stressed out because of my maritial problems..
