Hello, my name is Rebecca.  I'm 27 years old and I live in Florida.  I've struggled with my weight since, well, since forever.  I've lost 50 - 75 pounds on my own at least 4 times.  In addition, to all the time I lost 0 - 25.  I've done every diet out there, exercised into an obsession, done hypnosis, and therapy to cure this struggle.  Unfortunately, I haven't been able to keep any amount of weight loss off for more than a year.  I recently tried to get approval for WLS from my insurance, but my plan does not and will not cover WLS of any kind, in fact they don't even cover a nutritionist.  Without the approval from my insurance or $25K to cover the surgery, I basically gave up.  Up until 10/8/09 (that’s the day I decided to get the lap-band) I’ve been trying to find a glimmer of motivation to help myself because I truly felt like I gave up for good this time.  So here’s the exciting news: my friend found Dr. Ariel Ortiz online, he practices in Tijuana, Mexico.  I’m sure you’re thinking what I thought…hell no, right?  Well I did some research of my own and he’s legit!  I’ve paid my down payment, set the date, bought my ticket to San Diego, and now I’m just waiting until March 24th, of 2010.  I can’t wait to be the physical manifestation of the girl in my mind, me and my ideal self as one.
