Finally found greek yogurt I like
I haven't heard of that brand! I will definitely keep a look out! Thank you!!! Have you tried Yoplait's greek yogurt, in particular the honey vanilla. That is the only brand that I have found doesn't give me an after taste.

Okay so I have been meaning to post a before and after pic once I hit onederland and my hubby keeps saying that he is going to do a picture that is a side by side comparison but he is procrastinating!!! So I decided just to do it myself in 2 pics, one is just before surgery and the other was taken this past Friday in my work bathroom lol I have gone from a 22/24 to a 14/16 in 18 weeks and couldn't be happier!!!

Surgeons in the Dallas area
Sap Soon, I used Dr. Nirmal Jayaseelan at Medical City. I highly recommend him. He answered all of my questions prior to surgery. Calmed my nerves right before surgery and now post-op I have my follow up visits with his nurse, but if he sees me in the hall or waiting to be seen by his nurse, he always asks how I'm doing. Overall a great experience.

Can I take all vitamins in liquid form?
Congrats on your new sleeve and WOW 6 days out and your doctor allows you to take pills? My doc wouldn't let me take a pill until I was at least 6 weeks out. I too had a hard time with multi-vitamins! I tried chewable wafers, liquids and powders and they all pretty much made me gag. But I did find a chewable that works great for me and it's Flinstones Complete (I take 2 with no problems). Good luck Bryn!!!!!

Hair Loss - Hair Color!
Need your opinion!!!! I'm now 4 months out and starting to have hair loss!!!! I will say shedding sucks, but I've lost a total of 82 lbs and have absolutely no regrets!! So for those of you who have experienced some hair loss, have you colored your hair??? And if so, did you find yourself losing more hair afterwards?? Also, how long did you have hair loss? I have a hair appointment on Wednesday morning and I am debating on having my hair colored too. Thanks for all your help!!!! Tiffany

Anyone getting super sick from the protein shakes?
Call your doctor and let him/her know so they can prescribe you some nausea medicine, but I agree with Tiffany you could be experiencing a lactose intolerance. Hope you get better soon!

need a multi vitamin that I can stomach
I had the same problem early on. I tried several different multi-vitamins, even a liquid that was highly recommended and they all pretty much made me gag. The only one that tastes good to me and I've had absolutely no problem with is the Flinstone Complete (Chewable).

PCP not supportive of surgery
I'm sorry to hear that your doctor is being that way. I use to have a doctor like that and it's hard to change doctors but you need to do what is right for you. You need a doctor that is supportive and encouraging, not one that holds you back. I agree with Margaret, see your surgeon and ask his opinion. There are a lot of doctors out there that will not only back-up your decision, but will be there for you through your journey ahead. Good luck sweetheart!!

This question is for sleevers that was 230 to 240 pre-sleeve

Mixing Vitamins and Liquids
I use to crush my Vitamins and mix them with liquids, but they all tasted awful to me. Luckily at 6 weeks out you can start taking pills again. So I started taking calcium citrate capsules and switched to Flinstones Complete Multivitamin. So much better!!! I was told the same thing as Lisa - Can't Weight - don't take your Calcium Citrate the same time as your Multi-Vitamin.

Eating
Yes, the same thing happens to me when I have some ground beef or chicken. Ground turkey (Jennie-O) goes down and feels soooo much better.

5 days out...hard to drink!
I'm sorry your having a hard time, when I got my sleeve it was 30 ml every 15 minutes. That's the size of a nyquil medicine cap. So you have to sip all day long. I had to set a my phone timer to remember to keep drinking and it helped so much! Good luck!!!!

For the ladies
I'm right there with Stacy! I've had a IUD in for the past year and a half and I can't be happier, I rarely have a period and when I do its barely anything! I have absolutely no cramping, no weight gain (unlike when I use to take birth control pills) and I've had no side effects. I even got my tubes tied when I got my sleeve done at the end of December and I had my gyno leave the IUD in so I don't have to worry about a period. I love and I mean LOVE my IUD!!!!

when does this get better?
You need to call your doctor and let him/her know that it hurts when you sip. But you have to drink or go to the ER and get a drip. The first two weeks are the hardest then it gets so much easier!
