  1. Hi All I think I like the NSV over the scale victories yesterday I put on some size 16 jeans that use to be tight they were so loose I could put them on and take them off easily without unbuttoning!
  2. I think I am finally at the point where I believe this is working(G)
  3. You look amazing!
  4. Hi, I noticed that for me I kept picking at my plate even though I was full and then an hour later still visiting with family I snacked. I don't like to eat out or with family anymore because I worry about it.
  5. Natalie, I was the same way I was also reading "signs" in everything. To this day I am still amazed that I was able to go through with it. But here I am 13 weeks later loving my sleeve loving the fact that my blood pressure was 93/69 this week without drugs, loving that I have lost almost 40 lbs and loving how sexy my husband is finding me.
  6. Hi, Pre-op I would only get hiccups if I ate too fast. Now I get them if I eat too much or too fast and if I hiccup more then 2 or 3 times then I know I am about to get the foamies. I also will hiccup once or twice about a half hour after a meal. Nancy
  7. Hi, I went home with one drain and got it removed on day nine. It had to be emptied once a day. I was still able to take a shower everyday. It was totally painless a little annoying and I was always worried about it getting pulled. Nancy
  8. Thanks all! I think it has been close to 20 years since I actually weighed my driver's license weight! Oh and another NSV is my husband the other day he told me that he keeps gushing over how proud he is and how great I look to the point of looking stupid not to mention WLS works better then viagra(BG) mp8btpc my surgery was 8/24/10 so I am right behind you.
  9. Hi All, So I had 3 NSV today week actually two one is technically a SV. Today I took my blood pressure and it was 93/69 no meds. My BMI is finally below 30 and now I officially weigh what is on my driver's license! 160
  10. Oh that is just so amazing! I am so excited for you.
  11. Hi All, We did Thanksgiving here first time in too many years to remember we were planning on 17-19 people so I only made the turkey, stuffing, a duck rolls and a cake with a day's worth of calories in it. I started the morning with a protein shake and was feeling satisfied until our dinner. I ate a little bit of everything made sure I ate the duck meat first the veggies next so I was happy with just a taste of mashed potatoes, stuffing and cake.
  12. Hi, I am almost 13 weeks out and can eat everything on your list in small amounts the only I can not tolerate is carbonation.
  13. Hi, That's one of my biggest fears I am 12 weeks out and will worry non stop about. Nancy
  14. Hi All, I am 12 weeks post op and have lost 38 lbs. I am noticing these strange hard things under my skin, along my collar and on my hips I am told these are bones who knew I had bones under all that fat(G)
  15. Hi, I was self paid and had to have the same tests, a psych and nut interviews I didn't need an upper GI or endoscope because I had had one three years ago. Most of the tests are covered in the surgery costs.
  16. My biggest worry is eating too much or too fast. This is going to be a very stress full week. Neither DH nor I really care for Thanksgiving and yet we are doing it here we are not sure if there will be 18 or 19 or 23 coming I had already bought the turkey 21lbs when the number jumped from 12 to 18. Seven that are now coming are my in laws (hubby's brother and sister and her family) a more dysfunctional group you'd be hard press to find. And why you may ask are we even doing this well my husband's dad went into hospice care last week. DH's sister and her family live in the area but have had nothing to do with my FIL even though we have all known this was coming for a year now plan on visiting him next weekend and I have to have them at my table???? My BIL isn't nearly as bad but he is high maintenance, socially rude and an all around PITA and while he has been there for his dad these last four months he regularly gets overwhelmed by it all and lashes out at his dad not to mention that he has been coming down staying at our home every 2-3 weeks he comes down decides to take charge causes chaos gets overwhelmed and drives back home in a huff. And he rarely gives more then a few days notice he just let us knowing he was coming for Thanksgiving last week.

Hi All I have never been well endowed at my heaviest my cup size was almost a D cup. Well 12 weeks out my girls are looking like two tiny deflated air balloons! B cups are too small and C cups way too big it is not pretty ladies! To make matters worse is the fact that I have never been smaller the a 36 (40 at my largest). Now what can I do at the gym to tighten up that loose skin??? Anyone remember the old "Granny" cartoons in Playboy?
  19. I hope everything went well and you did not have any delays waiting on test results. I am post menopausal 2 years now I am 54 and DH has been fixed almost 25 years now and they still made me take one! Boy won't a positive result for me would have been a shock(G)
  20. LOL! Don't be too hard on the guy he is after all of the dumber sex

Wow Texas your husband definitely sounds like a keeper For now I have this very thin silver band I picked up at Walmart and wear it in front of my wedding band. As for my wrist watch it is so loose I can stick two fingers comfortably between the band and my wrist!
  22. Hi, I am three months out and don't have chaky skin. I do remember having a friend years ago how had bypass and he told me because of the malabsorption syndrome his skin tended to be on the pale side. Nancy
  23. Hi All, I am now 12 weeks out and 35 pounds lighter. I am 25 pounds from my goal, I am 5 pounds from my driver's license weight and 15 pounds from what I weighed when we got married over 20 years ago..And speaking of my husband he keeps making comments on how great I look and is always touching me. I am back to my pre-op exercising routine and feel great. My hair knock on wood hasn't started falling out and hopefully I can skip that particular unpleasantness. For the first time that I can remember I am not looking towards Thanksgiving and all the holidays in dread I know I will not eat myself up 10-20 pounds and beating myself up instead of enjoying myself. I still haven't been able to convince myself that this is really working and while my clothes are looser I've only bought a bra so far I have definitely shrunk there! I think I am afraid I might jinx things. I am going to have to work on this.
  24. Hi, Walmart has one by Oster that is both a blender/food processor comes with two different containers. I believe it was less then $20. I am 12 weeks out and so far have only used the blender part but it works great. Nancy
  25. Hi, I am three months too and just ended a stall. My weight seems to do a Texas two step. I'll drop 2-3 pounds and then "gain" it back then will bounce up and down 1 pound and then after a week or so will drop that 2-3 pounds and not gain it back. It can be frustrating but I am pretty sure it is normal. Nancy
