  1. Sometimes you have to change what you eat. Your body get's use to the same things and it becomes complasive (not sure if I spelled it right) in other words your body becomes stagnated. You have to change your eating habits but stay on your same calorie intake. Trust and beleive if your eating your proteins accordingly. You should be moving a bowel movement everyday and sometimes twice a day. Food for thought" I have the Abs Diet for Women book". Very good book. Designed for Women.

For us lap-band people. It definately works because we can't eat like we use to anyway. Even if you can eat a little more. The Abs Diet for Women book has a lot of good healthy nutritienal foods to eat. The book is Fat and Orange. That's if you decide to get it.

    Good Luck!.

P.S. I go through my struggles just like everyone else but I have (2) sizes to go and I'm going to accomplish it.

  2. I'm so sorry your are going thought that situation. No one needs to be talked to like that. Life is a struggle under any situations. Whenever you feel overwhelmed by the negativity, take a verse out the bible about" Daniel who was put in the lions den, but through his faith GOD protected him and he wasn't eaten".

I always remember that verse because imagining that situatiion about Daniel made me relieves that just as long as my faith is strong and I believe in my GOD, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE.

MAYBE IT'S YOUR TIME TO MOVE ON AND GET SOME PEACE OF MIND. You didn't go under that knife for nothing. You got that band done for a reason and that is TO HELP YOU AND ONLY YOU. YOU MATTERS, YOU ARE IMPORTANT AND GOD LOVES YOU, EVEN WHEN YOU THINK NO-ONE ELSE DOES.

One thing I learned is that when you are doing positive thingsand it shows, people can be so jealous of you and sometimes you don't even know it.

TAKE A GOOD LOOK AT YOURSELF AND SEE HOW BEAUTIFUL YOU REALLY ARE AND HOW SPECIAL YOU ARE..

LOVE YOURSELF BECAUSE KNOW ELSE WILL LOVE YOU AND TREASURE YOU LIKE YOU WOULD YOURSELF.

    TAKE CARE AND GOOD LUCK!

  3. Hi Tracie,

First of all you did good by exposing that behavior about yourself. and also I like the fact that you are acknoledging what is going on with you. So maybe you woulld like to look into (FA)-Food Anonoymous or speak with someone that can help you with the mental side of the weight-loss. I understand where you are coming from. Your doing great, keep up the good work.

  4. I found during this journey you body will stagnate for some reason. My suggestion, whatever you did in the biginning to loose weight, continue the same progress such as stage 1, 2 and 3. Sometimes the chemical in certain foods isn't doing our body good. But when were on that stage 1, 2 and 3 it worked. Good Luck people.

  5. Congradulations on your new journey. I definately understand your excitement.

I would say be careful about putting guidelines on your workout this early. Even though you want to walk 2 miles. Just go for walk and see how far you can go. Try not to do anything strenuous untl atleast 30 days. Again congradulations. Were all there in prayer in your journey.

  6. First you have to ask yourself why did you get the surgery done. Was it to please you or please others. Also what may really help you is to go to the support group of the hospital you had the surgery from and speak with other bandsters that is going through some of the things you have experienced.

Trust and believe I know where your coming from, you have to and I mean you have to learn to LOVE YOURSELF.......THAT IS A MUST...... When you begain feeling confident believe me I'm a female and I will tell you, we females love a confident man. Maybe slowly you have to build up to it.

You have to preoccupy your mind with others things that you enjoy. If you know your not putting 100% into your weight-loss, than your not going to get 100% back. There must other things to do that you may enjoy that could be athletic type other than going to the gym.. How about swimming, roller-skating, long walks with your ipod.

Take one meal at a time, Get though one meal at a time. Preplan your meals ahead also. Such as protein shakes with any fruit, cinnamin. Mash potiatoes, oatmeal, cream of wheat, boil eggs, Whole wheat spagehtti with lean ground beef to make meatballs, Tuna melts (open face and whole bread). These are some examples.

Remember the women will come, focus on YOU first, YOU are so important. And Congradiulations you have lost weight you just have to get your focus back.

    Good luck!

  7. that sound great, but I also do something myself. I count how many meals I had on one hand, If I go pass my one hand I definately ate to much and need a fill ASAP......But also if you can eat more than one cup of food per three main course meals, than you definitely need a fill. GOOD LUCK...!!

  8. Hi Kym,

Congradulations on your journey. I was reading your blog and when you said you had the headache after you ate. I was thing about possible sugar in the protein powder. Try to make sure your protein poweder is sugar free. Because sometimes the headaches comes from your body pssibly getting to much sugar. I'm happy for you. Keep up the good work.

  9. You have to soul search and ask yourself what kind of excercise do you enjoy. It could be something as simple as jumping rope with the neighborhood kids or by-yourself. Because we know we have to do some type of excercise. You just have to find what you really enjoy. I'm not talking abou not the routine ones, it could be line dancing if you enjoy dancing, swimming, anything to keep you motivated. Good luck....!

  10. Your still young, before you get this surgery you have to ask yourself can you commit to changing your eating habits for the rest of your life. No more over-eating, no more eating to get extremely full. Psychologically you have to be ready. Because it doesn't matter what kind of surgery you get done you can medically hurt yourself and it can be life threatening if you push the band and even the gastric bypass to far. Good luck in your decision..!!!

  11. Welcome to the new you. You will see there are lot of ways of eating healthier and still taste good... I found that trying to drink 64 ozs of water ain't gonna happen.!!! Now that I'm banded and have been for 6 mos...(Lost 52lbs)...I found I can only drink about maybe and sometimes 48 ozs of fluid per day...Which includes my coffee, milk, protein shake and waters.... Good Luck! AND REMEBER WERE ALL HERE FOR YOU......!!

  12. Well it definately will be a life change. I find that researching on everything I always wanted to do. Start doing it. Find whatever you need to do to keep yourself preoccupied from eatiing. Good Luck!
