Unfortunately I am back to the liquid diet. My previous 2 fills I had no restriction. I hope its just a lil swelling and I wont need an unfill of anysort. but I am feeling very restricted.

Absolutly yes! surgery on may 25th. total weight loss 41 lbs. since surgery i have lost 26lbs.

What was the date of your surgery? May 25th, 2010 How healthy did you/do you eat? low carb but I do not deny myself anything if I really want it. but it is certainly in moderation. How much do you exercise? not much but I work retail, walk a lil, and I play golf once a week. How much have you lost? 41lbs total, 26 from surg. as of this morning Are you happy with your results

I didnt vote because there is not enough info on the circumstance. But I had a yellow lab that bit my son when he was 2. We investigated trying to find a home for the dog, but ran into resistence. I wasnt going to lie, and no one wanted a dog that showed aggresive behavior. We ended up haveing to put him down. It was heartbreaking. But you can not take the chance with your mothers dog and your kids. This is a zero tollerance issue, however you solve your issue.

I went to my dr and got my 3rd fill bringing me to 8ccs. Im feeling well but can tell im swollen and maybe very close to restriction. Oh yeah! good news is I have lost 41lbs total and about 26lbs since surgery(May 25th). I am so happy I had chose the Band.:thumbup::w00t:

I crave spicey foods.....HOT! I use hot salsa on alot of things and my favorite is "siracha" chinese pepper sauce which has a lot of garlic on it. It tastes good with most foods too.

I would call your dr office. Usually they will have an insurace specialist. they will be able to find out your liability. and if the dr is sympathetic, may help you out with the bill. My Dr is only taking what the insurace pays. Its worth a try! Hang in there!

1st of all, your back to liquid then mushies. these foods dont stay with you very long, hence, hungry most of the time. Mentaly, You want to get back to a "normal" diet as soon as poss. I think this is all normal, IMO! Just hang in there and you will be fine.

I have a scale but it is so inaccurate. seems depending on where it sits, it is off sometimes light, sometimes heavy. Im talking inches apart in location. Can anyone recomend a good home scale?

I took 1 full week off. I had fatigue problems but it was not the end of the world. IMO, 2 weeks would be ideal. Right when you should be starting mushies. You will feel better all around! And you should have your head on straight too!

My guess would be, hopefully, dietary issues. Not to ask TMI, but are you gassy or constipated or the opposite? Have you tried gas-x? I hope this is the simple answer! I really doubt its the band itself because it is at the top of your stomache. Feel better soon and let us know how you made out with your tests/doctors!

Horizon bcbs of NJ. I have a $4000 deductable. surgeon billed 22000 with repairing the hernia. They paid $785! YES! $785! The rest is out of pocket. Approved 1st try. They said allowable $ for surgery is $4500. My doctor is appealing.

I would go for it! Scallops are tender and break down easy. Enjoy!!!

I had my second fill 9 days after 1st. No problem. I might get my 3rd fill sooner rather than later. You will be fine.

Gotta love cars! I have had plenty as well as a few motorcycles! a few camaro's, 72 challenger, 88 mustang convertable w/ 347 stroker that was supercharged. Now I am driving a 07 roush mustang roadster stage 3, #74 of 100. its pushing 420 hp. I like faster cars. what is great is we can go faster at the track when we lose some weight. estimate 1/10 sec per 100 lbs we lose! :thumbup: I havnt been to the track w this car and dont plan to.

Sorry I didnt get back ight away. englewood hosp support group is sched for this thurs at 6pm. I was going to try to make it but something else is on my schedule already!

Congrats! Your first fill may or may not make things better. every one is different. my 1st fill was 4cc in a 15cc band. My dr said at 4cc it basicaly just fills the balloon and port tube. It seemed to actually did nothing for me. no swelling, no new restriction. My dr told me to sched my ext appt for 1 month but come back sooner if I was still hungry alot. So I had my second fill a week and a half later. 2 more ccs and I am still not restricked yet, but food stays with me a little longer. So I am a lil happier and I am eating less. :thumbup: Although I would like to go get 1 more cc next week(my 2nd fill was just this past friday). My dr says as far as prep, just dont eat 2hrs before thne fill. bDont be nervous. Wear comfortable clothes you can take your top off, some women dont like wearing dress's to get their fills. Its a pinch in your port area and done within 10 seconds. You will be fine and probably looking for anouther fill asap when you realize your body can handle it!

My first fill was june 21st, 4cc in 15cc band. I am going for a second fill tomorrow for my second fill, 3 days short of 2 weeks later. My dr does not want me to give back any weight that I have lost! I have gained a few back since I started mushies then real food.

I had my first fill last week, june 21st, in a 15cc band, 4ccs fill. My doc said to come back this week if there is no change. So I made the appt for Friday july 2nd. I hope this fill will provede some restriction because if I eat slow and chew I can eat a lot, and I get hungry in 2 hours. I wonder how many ccs she will put in this time?

I am in the Paramus area. I havnt been tol any support groups yet, but plan to go to the group at englewood hospital. we are hear for you!

My thought would be dont fix what is not broke! I think what happens is your stomache shrinks in time, so you will have less restriction. like Jachut, eventually you may need to have a small fill. Congrats on making it!:bored:

I am sorry the ER cant/wont help you. Hopefully you surgeon can prioritise your surgery and get you in quick. you will be fine! gastric bypass will certainly help you with your weight loss. I have a freind who has lost 110lbs since jan 5th, 2010. I hope you feel better with your stomache problems. Please let us know how your doing! J

I had 4cc's put in too. It didnt do much for me. not even swelling. I was able to eat reg next day. You maybe experiencing swelling right now, but if you dont feel better after 3 days you need to call your dr.
