  1. If you were to have erosion of the band, How long or soon does it take to happen? 1st 3 months? 6 months? 1 year? or many years?
  2. Did he give you any reasons as to why this happened??????????
  3. You have really heavy hair.......just kidding. You are doing really well. My heaviest weight was in march 312lbs. My current "unofficial" weight is 240.4lbs at home in the birthday suit. Thats 72lbs! I use my weigh ins @the dr office for consistency. every 4th friday @ 10am. Fully dressed, after I have eaten breakfast, I am usually 4.5 lbs heavier than my home scale. I have noticed very little hair loss......no more than usual anyway. The last time I went in they would not give me a fill because I lost 10 lbs in a month. I go on the 19th and I think I lost more than 10lbs, so im not expecting a fill.

  5. Empty calories and carbs! That being said..........I am a very social person!
  6. Thanks everyone here! This board has got me really motivated to lose weight. Believe it or not , I dont even excercise much. Although, I swore to myself that @250 lbs I would start doing more!
  7. I just got back from the dr and I am a HALF pound away from my half way mark to my goal weight. I lost 58lbs and Im 59lbs left to goal weight.
  8. Sorry for the intrusion in the powder room! But I dated a woman who when wearing tight jeans, crossed her legs and shook the top leg, could have an "O". She also liked riding on the back of my motor cycle! It made her horney! So I believe a lot of women probably have your luck!
  9. I had 3 fills by my 8th week post op 4cc-2cc-2cc in a 15cc band. I am currently @9.5cc and I amvery close if not at the sweet spot. My next appt is in 2 weeks. If nothing is changed I will pass on my next fill.
  10. I have been using the mederma, vit e oil and my healthfood/vitamin store recomended 100% pure aloe 1 tbsp per day. Its great for the skin healing. even with burns of all sorts. I keep it refrigerated and it tastes gross. I also put it directly on the scars. Im very happy with the progress of my scars
  11. If you have a problem at that point, wouldnt it be too late????????
  12. I have been playing since about 3 weeks after surgery with out any discomfort.
  13. Agreed! Try again soon. Maybe you were tight at that time. Or it was over cooked. Many people say certain foods are good one time and not the next!
  14. Congrats on your Lap-Band! Things will be getting better with each day! If you need to, cut the pills in half and drink slower. I dont remember the taste being bad, but it was definetly "off", if you know what I mean. The worst of the pain was gone after 5 days. The port incision was tender for a long time, but not really painful. Hang in there and you will be fine!
  15. I always try to keep it simple. Fiber one cereal or 2 scrambled eggs with cheese melted in. sometimes I will have 1 slice of toast with my eggs. Usually after my fills, I will have a yogourt and a protien shake.
  16. Well no breasts for me, but, my chiro said this would happen. All these years our body adjusted to carrying weight, now our bodies have to re-adjust to less weight. He warned me before the surgery I would have some dicomfort.
  17. My worst came from bread. I was away on business, out to dinner. It lasted an hr and a half! Horrible!
  18. I assume an "upper G I " Goodtimes..... I would question your Dr.... so what if UGI said too tight! you were comfortable. Ultimatly, the Dr fills us based on what we tell them and how we feel, per how much we are losing. And also question about the bloating. I wish I could help with that.
  19. WLS is not the flag of defeat! Far from it. It is saying "I WILL NOT BE DEFEATED!" And quite honestly, WLS is not magic by ANY MEANS! It is still up to you......We still need to work at this, eat well, excercise, and show self control. I congratulate you on your decision. We do this because we need to take care of ourselves, so we can take care of others, like Rascal, for our children, wives or significant others, our parents( who certainly dont want to bury their children), etc, etc! As far as telling, I told everyone! That way there was no confusion. As said, most are supportive. Some say the wrong things, I dont think maliciously. But it happens! Good luck with your journey. And just to let you know, its not that hard. I have lost 48 lbs with what seems like not much effort, since march of this year. the worst was before surgery, diet. As the weight comes off, I see and feel the difference. that alone makes this really easy!
  20. I have had 5 fills, 4cc-2cc-2cc-.5cc-and on Fri the 17th 1cc more, in my 15cc band. It is HERE! The sweet spot, that is! I did liquids for 1 day, mushies for 1, and today back to food. I am a lil nervouse if im too tight. NNothing hurts, but I can even feel the water taking its time thru the band! I have been losing atleast a lb per week, but I think that will turn to closer to 2 lbs a week now. A half a grilled chicken breast fills me up now, and it wasnt even that big to begin with. I am so excited. In 12 lbs I will be less than 250!:wub::smile:
  21. cynpatt- I assume you are in NJ..... who was your dr?
  22. I have not hit the wall yet but dreading it! Everyone here says mix it up and the scale will move. You will be fine. Jst dont stress! Cath.......WOW! You look great!
