  1. Chicken is one of the biggest offenders. I have learned to slightly break the rules with chicken. I eat chicken with my veggies in every mouthfull. It really helps with the consistency. I cut my chicken rediculously small too. try cutting your veggies smaller too, so you can eat the amount of chicken you desired.
  2. I have always had knee problems but I have noticed it more lately. My chiro says its cause my posture is changing, therefore all the tendons holding everything together are strugeling to keep up. I do enjoy how I feel when I go 2x a week. but that is more rare to go that often. But it obviously helps.
  3. Past is not something we cant have. It is something we shouldnt. no protien/ all carbs. I would think if you want some as a treat, have no more than half a cup. Try and get a little protien in with it. I have had it once a month, in the last 3 months. but proportionatly, It was half pasta and half shrimp or lobster.
  4. Ok. not really. but I always assumed I might have gotten a lil shorter because years ago I went from 34 to 32 inch inseam on my pants. This is a NSV because i need to go back to 34 inch inseam because I can wear my pants higher up my waist, where they should be.
  5. The average person is taller after a good nights sleep. Did u measure yourself in the am. or pm? I was told there could be a 1/2inch difference.
  6. Keep in mind, the more weight on a scale, the greater margin of error. 35 lb weight is good.
  7. I use the Dr's scale as my official weight. But I can tell when and how much I have lost with my scale at home. I weigh at home naked just before I jump in the shower, which is usually about 4 lbs less than Dr's. Atleast the dr's scale does get calibrated every now and then.
  8. You did not provide a lot of info so its hard to say. I think if you are that desperate, call your Dr. I know that is not the ans you wanted but it might be best. You could have erosion or it might be nothing. Feel better! and keep us updated. J
  9. More water, fruit, and add activia yogurt should help!
  10. A friend of mine is a freak of nature. her body is ripped. She jogs 5-10 miles 4 to 5 times a week. works out with weights 4 times a week. and does hot yoga 4 times a week. of course she only works 3 days a week/ pt. She wants me to go with her but I dont have that kind of time nor am I "THAT" motivated.
  11. The only thing so far that I have given up is bread! when I use mayo I split it 40% real mayo and 60% LF mayo. It works for me. Other than that, I dont deny myself anything. My portions are just really small.
  12. Since may 25th, II cant burb, and all I do is fart. loud....long.... and uncontrollable. I farted once so loud when I thought no one was around in front of the food store.....I wasnt alone!!! I wanted to crawl under a rock. I used the "I just had surgery" and "excuse me"! She just kept on walking....! I laugh about it but I was sooooo embarrased!
  13. I have a friend who is best friends with his ex-wife. They realized they were not meant to be married, but shortly after divorce, they realized they were friends. It was weird for all of us, going out with his girlfriend and ex at the same time. nobody knew how to act when put in that situation. In time, we learned. I wouldnt say its wrong to feel that way! As long as they know where their relationship is.
  14. I think a call to your nutricianist is in order.
  15. Chicken is difficult because most of the time it is over cooked to ward off salminella poisening. the trick is to not over cook it. I usually bake my cutlets (floured-egged-breadcrumbs) for 18 mins @ 350. If they are thick I pound them out a lil. Always perfect. when I reheat I add a lil marinara and part skim mozzerella, and I warm it in the toaster oven. works for me. I hope it helps!
  16. Go early! Why put yourself thru that?
  17. Hiccups=yes.......Burps= i just cant. but unfortunately the gas does come out the other way! NOW THATS EMBARASSING!
  18. First fill was 4cc in a 15cc band. no floro.
  19. Are you chewing till the food is pureed in your mouth? Are you really taking your time? These are the only times I have a problem.
  20. I am just not. Banded on May 25th, and other than playing golf 2 times a week, my exercise is is non-existant! I just would rather do other things with my time. I feel like a failure when talking exercise. I have lost a total of 44 lbs as of yesterday. Any tips on getting motivated other than body image.
  21. Check out the sub-forum in the "FOOD AND NUTRITION" FORUM http://www.lapbandtalk.com/f82/mushies-stage-recipes-17637/ Also, u can take any one of your favorite meals and blend with a little chicken or beef stock an make a mushie out of it. One of my staples is a baked sweet potato
  22. Jamie, did your dr recomend an antacid or prescribe something? I had a 1 month script for prevacid rx strength. I felt i didnt need it after the second week. It also could have been nervousness about going back. It is a good idea to get the extra rest. Who was your dr and what hosp? I am from jersey too!
  23. When I am stuck/pbing, I cant swallow my own saliva. how do you get tablets or juice down and stay down?
  24. Banded on May 25th, I now have 8cc. I am very close to the sweeet spot. If I eat too fast, I pb. But If I eat slow, I can eat too much. In fact, I think I gained a few lbs in the past month. I go for a fill tomorrow. I am a little nervous about how much to get.
