  1. Hey guys, I just got a fill yesterday, and I'm up to 6.5 cc's. I'm struggling a little bit on what to eat. Can you guys please give me some examples of your day to day diet? I'm worried about eating too much and sliming all over the place and being in pain, so I've been eating really lightly and I'm starving. Tonight I made some egg whites and spinach and mushrooms, and I ended up sliming 3 bites in. I'm just curious what you guys eat to stay full, feel satisfied. I also think I need to adjust to way smaller portions. I was at 4 cc's before and I didn't feel much restriction. Thanks!
  2. Hi guys, I just had my 5th fill, and I'm now 6 cc's in a 10 cc band. I'm definitely starting to feel the restriction now. It was tough yesterday, I had my first sliming (ewww) experience, and it was NOT pleasant to go through at all. What I wanted to know was what are your soft stops? I haven't figured mine out yet. I think it's a small sigh in between bites, but I'm not sure. What about you guys?
  3. I had my first fill last Thursday, and I got 2 cc's. The fill itself was totally fine, didn't hurt a bit, but after I got really light headed and a little woozy. It went away in a few hours. Today I went to get another fill, and got 1 cc added, because I felt exactly the same as a I did before. That fill went fine, but again, I'm light headed, my vision is a little blurry, and I'm a bit woozy. Did that happen to anyone? Could it be from the fasting a few hours before hand?
  4. I got my first fill today! 2 cc's and so far feeling pretty good!
  5. I'm either a huge baby, or I have a really low pain tolerance. It was my first surgery, and I have to say, I'm incredibly frightened to have another one. For me, probably like a 8-9. The gas pain in my left shoulder was excruciating, and all my incisions was through my abs, so they were incredibly sore, along with the incisions. It took about a week for some relief. I didn't take any pain meds though, since they make me sick. I'm still having some port site pain, but it's much much more tolerable. I wish I was one of the lucky ones to have minimal discomfort!
  6. I love my Flintstones vitamins! I also take a chewable calcium vitamin twice a day.
  7. NurseSophie-That sounds amazing! I love mexican food and haven't been able to figure out a healthy way to eat it! I'm going to the store right now to buy low fat refried beans and guacamole!
  8. Yes! I'm on mushy foods and protein shakes still, and the only mushy food I eat is baby food, so I'm definitely craving salty and spicy. Yesterday I actually put a pinch of salt on my tongue to get the taste! Good news I'm not bloated from the sodium though.
  9. I honestly love fruit baby food. It's smooth and refreshing, and so nice to finally eat some fruit. It's also really cheap, and really good for you. They make it for babies, it has absolutely nothing bad in it but fruit and water. Plus all the flavors they have are so good, it's really just like drinking a smoothie, it's just a bit thicker. Try it out! The vegetables aren't my favorite, and the meat ones are completely out for me, but I do love the fruit.
  10. Thank you guys! I'll be done for 3 weeks, not as bad as I thought!
  11. Congratulations! That is so exciting!
  12. I was out walking my dogs, and I fell and broke my foot  I can't believe it. I'm so sad, I was just getting into the workout groove! I don't know how long I'll be down for, I find that out tomorrow, but still, bah humbug.
  13. I told one co-worker because she's a good friend of mine, and I didn't tell anyone else. Everyone is really curious though, so I said I was having some surgery on my stomach, but I'm very uncomfortable talking about it. Most of my co-workers have been very understanding, except my manager. She is a terrible manager, and she is such a micro-manager, she has to know EVERYTHING that you do outside of work. Since I've been gone, I go back Monday, she has been questioning everyone on why I'm out. I'm going to talk to her Monday and tell her that she had no right to do that, to question everyone and to make them uncomfortable. It's a HIPAA violation. I'm also going to tell her that I'm reporting her to the HR rep, because I've had enough, you know? She may be curious, but my privacy is something she should respect.
  14. Today I had my first post-op visit and everything is looking good! On mushy foods, and when I go back in two weeks we'll start the solid food phase, then two weeks after that hopefully my first fill! Now, the really exciting part! When I went into the office, they said they could already see a difference in my face. Can't wait to lose the moon face, and have jaw and cheek bones! But I lost 5 lbs post op, 12 all together! Woohoo! Minor successes feel sooo good!
  15. I don't know what it is, but the last few days I have been HUNGRY and craving bad things! Yesterday, I woke up at 2am craving McDonald's. I don't even like McDonald's! And today I was craving pepperoni pizza and potato and cheddar pierogies. I think it's probably because I'm just over 2 weeks out and starting to really get hungry and hate on my Protein shakes, but I'm perfectly fine with my doctor recommended diet, and sort of proud for not giving in! But yes, right now, I'm craving a pickle and fig newtons. (I'm NOT pregnant haha).
