Day 11 Post Op
You are doing well! LOL at the shoes -- the first place I noticed a change! I used to wear 8 1/2s, I'm down to 7 1/2s. I tried to put heel protectors in my shoes but they were still falling off. I have about 50 pairs of gorgeous shoes gone! Oh yeah about 60 lbs of ugly fat gone too! :-). You are doing fantastic, have a great day!!!

That doggone Crunch n Munch!
Janet, you are doing fantastic! A little Crunch and Munch is not going to hurt you! I had a little bite of a sausage sandwich yesterday (1 bite) and I felt terrible. Then I realized a year ago I would have eaten 2 or 3? We have come a long way! Hope you have a great day!

this day is going all wrong...
I agree with DAD. If you don't want a fill don't go. Just call, talk to the receptionist and say you aren't going to make it and you'll call for your next fill. Take it easy on yourself; try to get a quiet walk in. Hugs ::::::::

Hi Everybody! Its Been Awhile......
I try not to blog every day anymore. Its been 3 1/2 months since my surgery and honestly things don't change much day-to-day regarding my eating, exercise, health. I've successfully overcome most of the habit and emotional changes and enjoy immensely feeling TREMENDOUSLY better every morning when I get up. I'm 51 (almost 52). I seriously feel better than I did at 40. My only complaints in life are related to my job, and not really any there, either. I'm grateful to have a good job and a paycheck that gives me freedom to enjoy doing the things I do. I do a lot more than I used to socially. I'm going to Marketing meetings in Orange County, volunteering with church, more social stuff with friends. I don't stay home much. I attribute the attitude, the energy, the emotions with the band and the changes I've made since deciding to be banded in January 2010. Its becoming more of the usual lifestyle and less thinking about banding. I never dreamt 9 months ago I would be where I am. I've lost half of the weight I want to lose, and a big part of the hangups I had associated with how I felt about myself. I'm still obese; but I'm truly at peace. On to the next chapter :-). Smiling all the way..........

Question
Target Control granny panties. But here is a hint. Wear them at night too. I've had a funny experience without them in pjs (tummy tuck in my future). Love them! Best of luck to you..........

Today: The Gripes and Complaints
Glad you are doing, feeling and "smelling" better LOL. I remember that -- wouldn't talk to anybody without holding my hand over my mouth lol.

September already?
I love being able to shop in the misses/juniors department. When my daughter was here she brought me 5 pairs of her 15/16 jeans which now fit! I started in January at 282 and I weigh 220 now. We are so lucky to have this wonderful tool and wonderful support! Congratulations and keep it up!!!

Are we there yet?
I'm at 7.25 and I'm getting a little more out next week again. I can now at least eat something, but not enough and my metabolism is shutting down. Its a fine line, and your doctor's approach is the proven success for his practice; I think its a good one! Best wishes to you :-)

40lbs...FINALLY!
Congratulations! Way to go! Timing doesn't matter. I keep thinking that usually in 8 1/2 months I would have gained about 20-30 lbs?

Streching the Stomach out
Just another hater to ignore. Yes, you need to follow instructions and yes you will be eating differently (slowly, chewing, healthier). Everyone seems to be able to conjure up horror stories about pouches stretching (coffee, soda, eating). I'm waiting for someone to say having sex or breathing. One has to wonder where and why people say these things. Chin up! It will be great! :-).

Four Months Later
Congratulations! Many good, healthy times are ahead for you!
