  1. I told everyone and it took time for me to get used to people constantly monitoring what I was going to eat next or how many times I stood from the table to go the restroom. Now, I am greatful, becuase it also keep me on track. Because all my friends and family knew, I was always more concious of what I ate and I think in the long run, that is part of why I have lost so much weight. But everyone is different. God Bless, M-

  2. Lose It, sounds great, you will be a busy bee the next few months..I have done 2 5k since banded. the first one, the little old ladies with their flawless make ran right past me...hehe the second one the police car at the end of all the runners was almost pushing me to the finish line, hehe BUT In my wildest dreams did i ever think I could even finish and I did!! The first one in 55.08 (flat run/walk) the second 59.13 (hills and sand). I am getting ready for my next one. Good luck< m-

  3. I too am also very tight in the am. I have coffee and a protein bar usually around 8:30am, it takes me about 30 minutes to finish the whole bar. then I have a laughing cow cheese around 10:30, then at lunch all i have is tuna, chicken or salmon, small portion plate. at 2:30pm another protein bar, then for dinner tuna, chicken or salmon again, nothing after 7pm. I have 5cc and only have had two fills. I have good days and bad days. I find if I wait too much between meals, I fill up with air and it is harder to get things down. But I really love my band and even on the worst day don't regret it. M-

  4. Enid, yes, you hear it all once you are banded. I was banded 2/23 in Venezuela, my insurance denied 2 appeals. Anyway, I feel so blessed to have been able to do this for myself. Every patient is different, I am happy with my band. It is not by all means an easy fix, it still takes hard work. Excercise and eating right to make it work. I too suggest a lot of walking after the surgery and they are Gas X, strips that dissolve in your mouth. They were my savior. My only pain after surgery was from Gas and lots of it..hehe, God Bless and you will be fine and ready for your new beginning. M-

  5. Rhonda, one good suggestion is to only take the stairs everywhere, no elevator. Also, one stroll around the whole deck after every meal..it is romantic and beautiful so you wont feel like you are exercising. And of course follow the Protein rule first. Enjoy, you will be fine. Have a great time..

  8. NewMechelle,

You are doing wonderful. I can't even imagine 63 pounds less..that is what my child weighs. Keep your faith. Try to think about something else. Like how blessed you are and how healthier you are because of your brave choice. It is so worth it. I have not had my surgery yet, but I have been reading a lot of blogs lately. Take care and God Bless you.
