Day 2...

So I am home and today is day 2. I had my surgery Monday December 21st. I am feeling a bit sore in my stomach area but nothing that the prescribed Codine won't fix.. lol. I am moving around a lot and I am so proud of myself. I remember Monday afternoon while still in pain I was like. "why did I do this.. I'm crazy!" but now I am so happy and cannot wait to start dropping this weight!!

I will have my surgery in late January, still no date..but it has been 2 years of preparing for this time and I am ready. You should be proud of yourself and your new life. Hope to stay in touch,

My surgery was approved only 1 week after my consult. I didn't have time to prepare for my upcoming surgery, on Jan. 11. Now I am second guessing if I should have it.

This is definitely something you do not want to rush into. You have to make sure this is the right thing for you. In my opinion the Lapband is a great solution for people who struggle with "keeping weight off" I have lost and gained the same 60lbs 3 times in the past few years and that is so bad for my health. I know what I have to do to lose it but have such a hard time with maintaining it. Both my parents have had this done and they told me that at first they went through the "why did i do this" phase but when you heal and you realize that food does not and CANNOT rule your life it really all becomes very worth it. I would say assess your life and see if this would be the best option for you because the bottom line is, it is surgery. I always say go with your gut! You'll do whats right. : )

Good luck and happy holidays
